Gameplay video goes over the basics
Deformers should be rolling onto PlayStation 4 in the relatively near future; it was supposed to be launching next week, but was hit with an unspecified delay not too long ago. The Order: 1886 developer Read at Dawn is behind the rather rotund title, but if you're not entirely sure what Deformers is all about,...
Remember that recent Ready at Dawn interview where the Californian company referenced an unannounced piece of hardware? We suspect that it was talking about the Oculus Rift, as it's currently working on an exclusive for the device. The Order: 1886 developer was listed alongside PlayStation alumni Insomniac Games during the virtual...
Developer wants to build, own, and publish its own IPs in the future
The Order: 1886 was met with a mixed reception, and seeing as we haven't heard a whisper about its sales, we're guessing that it flopped at retail, too. It's not an enormous surprise, then, that developer Ready at Dawn now wants to release games on more than the PlayStation 4...
Ready at Dawn fans the historical flames
Every now and then, developers creating exclusive adventures like to talk up the hardware that they’ve opted to work on. In this instance, it’s the folks at Ready at Dawn, who don’t believe that historical excursion The Order: 1886 would be possible on any platform other than the PlayStation 4. Prepare...
At the end of our lycnathrope
You may recall a particularly gruesome trailer for The Order: 1886 from this year's E3. The gory clip debuted during Sony's super slick press conference, and showed off the title's reimagining of 1800s London, complete with historically accurate werewolf infestation. Luckily for us, the Japanese giant has recently...
See you in 1887
Second-party studio Ready at Dawn has delved frighteningly deep with The Order: 1886’s narrative. Not only does its PlayStation 4 exclusive’s tale stretch back thousands of years, but it also attempts to fuse real history with fiction. As such, it’s not exactly surprising to learn that the outfit has several sequels in mind –...
Breaking down those chest high walls
Apparently some people were a little disappointed with The Order: 1886's recent gameplay reveal, but we honestly wouldn't know, as we were too busy trying to wrap our heads around how developer Ready at Dawn has managed to make the title look so
One is the loneliest number
As we reported yesterday, there's been a wealth of rumours floating around the Internet in regards to upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886. There is definitely something brewing over at developer Ready at Dawn, and we suspect that there'll be a truckload more details to pore over in the coming weeks. With...
Cultivating a cracker
We’re not sure whether we like Sony’s new secretive strategy. On the one hand, it means that we’re almost guaranteed a big surprise or two over the coming months – but sifting through the throngs of “industry insider” induced scoops is becoming a bit of a chore. Nevertheless, it sounds like the platform holder’s...
Mixing things up with melee
The appearance of oversized steampunk weapons in The Order: 1886’s debut trailer may have disappointed some of you, but developer Ready at Dawn is not aiming to produce a cookie-cutter third-person shooter. Speaking with EDGE magazine, the company has hinted that it doesn’t want to bore players with lengthy gunplay...
London's never looked so bleak
Ready at Dawn made a big song and dance about the fact that The Order: 1886’s debut trailer employed in-game assets. However, as part of a conversation on Twitter, founder and chief technical officer Andrea Pessino has hinted that the alternate history exclusive has already exceeded the visual fidelity glimpsed in...
Spending the show in front of the mirror
The Order: 1886 has not bothered to take the long trip from Victorian London to modern-day Los Angeles, as the first gameplay footage of the PlayStation 4 shooter is not ready for public consumption just yet. Many had assumed that Sony would use tonight’s VGX Awards as an opportunity to air a new clip of...
The Order: 1886 has had a vague 2014 release window attached to it since its announcement at E3 earlier in the year – but a Twitter discussion between two developers may have inadvertently narrowed that timeframe down over the weekend. A conversation between Sony Santa Monica’s director of technology Tim Moss and Ready at Dawn...
Keep it orderly
The Order: 1886 was undoubtedly one of the most unique and intriguing games revealed during Sony’s E3 press conference this year. And if a recent Game Informer interview with its developer Ready at Dawn is anything to go by, the alternate history exclusive is shaping up to be a must own title. In t
Developer moving things forwards
The Order: 1886 raised dozens of questions at E3 earlier in the year. While it was one of Sony’s big announcements during the show, the platform holder failed to provide much solid information on the game. However, developer Ready at Dawn’s offered a blow out as part of the latest issue of Game Inf
Back to the workhouse
Ready at Dawn’s upcoming alternate-history PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886 is already shaping up to be one of the prettiest titles in the next generation platform’s pipeline, but it’s not being constructed by an enormous team. While it’s normal for franchises such as Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty to...
Resumes and job listings are responsible for 99.9% of the leaks in this industry — it’s only a matter of time before developers learn. Until then, we’ll happily scoop up the stories that emerge from them, like this one: Ready At Dawn is working on a next-generation third-person action title. The handheld God of War developer revealed the...

Who wouldn't want to be Kratos? Running about, stabbing monsters in the face wearing nothing but a skirt -- sounds incredible, right? PushSquare's editor Sammy Barker thought so, hence why he spent the ten minutes or so required to use Sony's "Kratos Yourself" web-app
Thing is, he couldn't get it to work, so here's a picture of Kratos' kitty instead. Amazing, right? Kratos yourself through here.
Kinect delay ruins experience

God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta is out in a few weeks and is getting great reviews across the 'Net
(We got our review copy this morning and it's amazing.) Developers Ready At Dawn are already thinking about moving on from the PSP though. It's the platform that's made the studio's name, but they have bigger ambitions. That's fair enough, they're a very talented group. The studio's announced that they're..
Not long now until Sony drop their PSP killer-app for 2010, God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta
The game, which is being developed by Ready At Dawn, is popping up with 9's all over the Internet. It does looks balls-to-the-wall awesome, doesn't it? The game hits North American on November 2nd, and Europe on November 11th.
Take this giant statue thing -- shortly after the screenshot was taken it lost its head
Like, all of its head. God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta is just a few weeks off now. It's looking absolutely brilliant. There's a demo available on both legs of the PlayStation Store if you want to give it a test run. The full batch of shots are over at VG247.
How about another cheeky look at God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta? Looks flippin' incredible doesn't it? Yep, yep, we know
We absolutely cannot wait to pick the game up next month. And now we've got a little more incentive; Sony's announced that all new copies of the PSP title (digital download or UMD) will include a download voucher to unlock Kratos' brother, Deimos, in God Of War III. Apparently..
We're on a ship, being tossed from side to side as the sea roars around us
Skeletal enemies climb aboard and we tear them to pieces with wreckless abandon. "Lord Kratos," a crew-member screams from the hull above, "It's destroying the entire fleet." As we march through the innards of the ship, we approach the tail of a gigantic...

Ask anyone to list their favourite PlayStation Portable games of all time and chances are God Of War: Chains Of Olympus will be up there
The Ready At Dawn developed PSP hack-and-slash title was a technical masterpiece. Taking the formula from the home console versions of God Of War, Chains Of Olympus down-sized the action without losing anything in translation. It was a stunning achievement. Ready..
Despite not having all its audio-cues in place, this debut gameplay footage of God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta is pretty
Pretty to the max. The shot of Kratos fighting harrowing beasts on the ocean is particularly pleasant. Certainly it looks like more God Of War, but that's exactly what we want from the PSP game. We're looking forward to this.
In our Peace Walker review, we stated: "Peace Walker gives God Of War: Chains Of Olympus a real run for its money in accordance to the beauty stakes

Kratos is back
Again. And while this trailer for Ready At Dawn's upcoming PlayStation Portable hack-and-slash is incredibly light, it's the kind of debut trailer we've come to expect for a God Of War game. From what we've seen of God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta, it's shaping up very nicely. If you want technical spectacle from your PSP (who doesn't), then you're going to get it here.
