Stop Posing Mr. Chimera; Cole's Just To Your Right.

Well, if there was ever a way to get me back into Uncharted 2: Among Thieves’ multiplayer component, it’d involve character skins from other games.  Which is exactly what’s going to happen according to SCEJ, as upcoming DLC will feature inFamous, Resistance and Killzone 2 skins.

Siliconera’s got some shots of the DLC, which are due in Japan net week. They also note a map pack is due on February 25th, including an area from Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, with a further pack planned for April. Awesome.

Naughty Dog Not Interested In Bringing Playstation Motion Controller To Uncharted Anytime Soon

Naughty Dog Don't Plan On Introducing Motion Control Into The Uncharted Franchise.

Naughty Dog Don't Plan On Introducing Motion Control Into The Uncharted Franchise.

Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells has told G4 that his company aren’t interested in doing a motion controlled Uncharted game anytime soon. Instead, he reckons if they were to do a game for Sony’s new Playstation Motion Controller, they’d be designing a game from the ground-up.

“We really don’t have any interest in using the motion control to do a third-person action game.

“If we were going to make a motion controller game, we’d want to tackle it from the bottom up and make sure that we were designing the game around the motion control, the way the best Wii games are designed.

“I’m not a Wii hater at all, in fact, it’s probably one of my most played consoles in the house. I have a 3-year old son which might account for some of that [laughs], but Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort are some of the best experiences of this generation – honestly.

“Yeah, I think the PlayStation audience is totally for it. In fact, I bet you there are lot of closet Wii owners in the PlayStation community.”

Thank goodness for that then.

How Hard Is Too Hard Where Trophies Are Involved? – “Twiggy” The PushSquare Opinionator

Crushing On Drake's Fortune Drove Me Mad But, Hey, I Still Played It.

Crushing On Drake's Fortune Drove Me Mad But, Hey, I Still Played It.

I hate “Hard” modes. I appreciate some people love them and want to challenge themselves. Me personally – nuh-uh. I want to play my games at a reasonable difficulty. I want to have fun above all else. I don’t want to sit weeping into my DualShock replaying the same section over and over just to reach a checkpoint. Thing is – I don’t want to do it, but I do. Damn you trophies.

Sony Franchise Pinball Games On The Way, Apparently

Heck, Of Course We Want To Play Uncharted Pinball.

Heck, Of Course We Want To Play Uncharted Pinball.

A leak from the ESRB suggests that Sony are planning some Playstation Portable themed pinball games based on the artwork from High Velocity Bowling, Hot Shots Golf, PAIN and, most surprisingly, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. There are no real details on the games as yet aside from the ESRB’s related descriptions.

For the Uncharted themed game they write:

“This is a pinball game designed around the artwork and themes of the video game Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Players use flippers to hit the ball around a crashed airplane, into silhouetted character targets, and off bumpers shaped like gold coins to score points.”

If the games have been rated then it’s right to assume they exist, so we guess we’ll be hearing more about these in the future. It’s possible the games might launch separately as PSP Minis.

Firmware 3.0 Sadly Causing Game Freezing In Uncharted

This May Well Be A Lovely Scene, But We'd Rather Play It Without Freezing.

This May Well Be A Lovely Scene, But We'd Rather Play It Without Freezing.

Have you just bought a PS3 Slim, anxiously updated to Firmware 3.0 before jumping into Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. You’re perspiring with excitement we imagine, you’ve heard so much of the Playstation 3’s best title and are eager to run through the campaign. But oh. Issues.

That’s right, reports on Playstation’s forums are reporting of some massive glitch errors in Uncharted caused by Sony’s latest firmware update.

No word from Sony or Naughty Dog on a fix for this issue. It couldn’t really have come at a worse time considering ND should be wrapping up Uncharted 2 development as we type. Hopefully Sony will issue a fix for this issue and, well, those terrible new friends lists they’ve added in.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune & SOCOM: Confrontation Go Greatest Hits In The USA

Go Elena, Go! You Shake That Ass.

Go Elena, Go! You Shake That Ass.

Fancy picking up new copies of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune or SOCOM: Confrontation? Hell yeah you do! Especially if you’re yet to play them. Thank goodness for Sony’s “Greatest Hits” collection which will entitle you to pick up either game for the lowly cost of $29.99.

With Uncharted 2 literally around the corner, if you’re yet to play the original, you kind of have to. Now.
