Put Street Fighter IV On My Playstation Portable Capcom!

Street Fighter IV, On The Move, With Real Buttons? Yes Please.

Street Fighter IV, On The Move, With Real Buttons? Yes Please.

Following the announcement of Street Fighter IV for iPhone yesterday, whispers have been murmered regarding a Playstation Portable version — arguably the superior platform for a game in the vein of Street Fighter. Might just happen.

In a Japanese blog-post by SFIV’s project manager Natsuki Shiozawa, the Capcom employee expresses her (and her colleagues) desire to bring the title to the PSP.

Make it happen Capcom! Actual buttons are better than touch-screen buttons.

We said: “For what Street Fighter IV lacks in accessibility it more than makes up for in polish, charm and sheer playability.”

Twiggy’s thoughts: “Street Fighter IV was not the most accessible of games in 2009. It’s a hard game, designed with competive players in mind. But even if you don’t fit into that category, it’s absolutely worth playing. Why? Because Street Fighter is awesome.”

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves On Playstation Home Looks Genuinely Mind-Bendingly Awesome

We’ve posted our belief for a while that Sony finally understand what people want out of Playstation Home. Today we finally got confirmation of that. Sony have shown off the new Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Home Space on the Playstation Blog today which genuinely looks mind-blowingly awesome.

Aside from genuinely looking great, the content is unparalleled by anything else in Home. In fact, it’s even described as something that “could be sold in the Playstation Store”. And you really can see why. Aside from a number of mini-games, the most exciting part of the new space is a fully featured card battle system, which is themed around the Uncharted lore. We’re not entirely sure how it works but it’s being billed as a complete card game, which is certainly enough to get us excited.

That aside, there are spaces for Tekken 6 and Street Fighter IV launching tomorrow aswell as a new Penthouse Home Space and some slight technical updates.

Crap! That’s T-Hawk In (Super) Street Fighter IV!

Nope, There's No Disputing It, This Is T-Hawk.

Nope, There's No Disputing It, This Is T-Hawk.

We’ve been posting rumours about an updated Super Street Fighter IV Dash for a while now, but things are now really coming to fruition. Take this screenshot, which clearly depicts T-Hawk kicking some ass in Street Fighter IV. Those who have played the game know that T-Hawk is totally not in Street Fighter IV’s original roster and thus this must signal a – gasp – updated version.

JV247.com have a host of other screenshots including a character called Juri who, well, we’ve never heard of. Apparently she’s out of Street Fighter Alpha or something though? We don’t know. Answers on a postcard.

More Street Fighter IV Mad Catz Controllers On The Way

Bagsy, Bagsy, Bagsy, Bagsy.

Bagsy, Bagsy, Bagsy, Bagsy.

Remember those awesome Street Fighter IV Mad Catz controllers? Yes, us too. In fact we’re still bitter about the fact we never got one. But now we might actually stand a chance, with a bunch of new controllers on the way.

The second batch still involves the same Tournament Edition FightSticks and FightPads as the first batch, but this time, they’re different. The Fightstick has had a new coat of metaphorical paint and as for the FightPads, well they’re all new designs. You’ll be able to get: Bison, Cammy, Guile, Crimson Viper, Sagat, and Zangief. Bagsy Crimson Viper.

“Capcom is pleased to continue working alongside Mad Catz to deliver a second wave of high quality FightSticks and FightPads to the Street Fighter community,” said Christian Svensson, vice president business development & strategic planning at Capcom Entertainment, Inc. “Our fan base has responded enthusiastically to the first range of Street Fighter IV controllers and we are dedicated to continue surprising our loyal audience with products which do justice to this highly acclaimed title.”

With so many new controllers out there, and interest in Street Fighter IV obviously a bit more hushed these days, we might actually stand a chance getting one of these beauties.

Street Fighter IV Turbo? Is There A Street Fighter IV Sequel On The Way?

We Hope A Street Fighter IV Update Makes Seth A Bit Easier.

We Hope A Street Fighter IV Update Makes Seth A Bit Easier.

Capcom’s Natsuki Shiozawa has posted on the Official Street Fighter IV blog. Not so amazing news? It is when you read what he says, namely that a sequel to Street Fighter IV will be announced in the near future. Well, erm, TGS is next week…

Of course, what with the franchise being Street Fighter, a sequel doesn’t necessarily mean that. It might be an updated version with new characters, rebalanced gameplay or some new modes. Still, it something to get excited about. Seeing as Street Fighter IV is an amazing game.
