We Can Totally See Where The Uncharted 2 Comparisons Are Coming From.
Black Rock’s Jason Ried has pitched racer Split/Second up there with the best, telling CVG: “It’s a tough one. [Activision's] Blur is obviously competition – it’s racing and it’s doing things slightly different as well. But we almost feel we’re closer to Call of Duty or Uncharted in what we do than other racing games.”
“Animation-wise, Split/Second is the most ambitious thing that’s ever been done in a racing game. So that is where we come down to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2 comparison – because of these huge set-pieces.”
The game looks properly amazing too, allowing you to blow shit to smithereens as you race. We can’t wait for this game.
Disney Interactive announced last night that Split/Second is coming on May 18th, yo. This is properly amazing news because, well, Split/Second looks amazing.
In not so amazing news, a dumb sub-heading has been stuck on the end of the European title, plonking the word “Velocity” on the end. Worry not though American gamers, you’ll not have to endure the extra word.
Still, the good news is that the game is coming in just over three months! Hurrah.
