Rockstar Has Pledged A Great Year For Playstation 3 Support.
During the “Asked & Answered” aspect of Rockstar’s website, the company have pledged a “very good” year for Playstation 3 users.
When prompted about the exclusivity of the Grand Theft Auto IV DLC, Rockstar responded with positivity for Playstation 3 users, stating, “We know that it continues to be an often-asked question – and believe us, we understand the frustration of PS3 owners like yourself who haven’t been able to play any of our most recent releases. All we can say is that we at Rockstar promise to be very good to you with our releases in 2010. Please stay with us and stay tuned!”
We bet you the first thing to pop up will be those GTA IV episodes. Followed by Agent.

This Image Is About Everything We Know About Agent.
A slight, off-the-cuff comment on Rockstar North’s forums seems to be hinting towards a 2010 release for upcoming Playstation 3 exclusive Agent. When asked about Rockstar’s commitment to the PS3, a response from a Rockstar staffer claimed the team are “working hard on a lineup of PlayStation 3 releases for 2010 … including Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, and the PlayStation 3 exclusive AGENT”.
The very same post also hinted at “yet to be announced titles”, perhaps hinting at the end of Microsoft’s GTA IV DLC exclusivity. Thank goodness.

Through the power of beats and vocal harmonies, Timbaland is here to tell you about his upcoming PSP venture with Rockstar, Beaterator. We’re really excited by this “game”, namely because outside of writing for PushSquare we’re all really into music production. The video gives you a good idea for what you can be expecting to achieve in Beaterator, and while it looks like creation will be limited to pre-recorded loops, there does seem to be some depth on there. Certainly we’ll be spending a lot of our time creating drum loops on the train. We’re quite excited about that.

Take-Two Are Heavily Involved In Playstation Motion Controller Development & L.A. Noire.
During an investor call today, Take-Two’s Ben Feder confirmed that the company have implemented Playstation Motion Controllers in “just about all” of their studios. While Feder didn’t address specific titles, he did claim, “everybody’s working with them to try to figure out new ways in which we can innovate and create the kind of content that this company is famous for”.
Feder also confirmed that Take-Two’s collaboration with Team Bondi to produce L.A. Noire is still going ahead. He claimed that while there was “nothing to announce” the project was still going and just left us with the teasing words “it’s very exciting and innovative”.
Argh, to say we’re excited over L.A. Noire would be to say the sky is blue.

Agent Will Be An Espionage Title Set In The 1970s.
Rockstar’s exclusive Playstation 3 may have only been given a title at E3, but since then details have slowly trickled out about the game. Try this quote from Take Two’s Ben Feder, whereby he claims Agent will be “a game about espionage, set in the 1970s” and will be “very, very different” from the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
Speaking of GTA, when prompted as to whether the XBOX 360’s exclusive DLC would make it to PS3 he said, “We don’t talk about that, unfortunately.”
Alas, much as we like the look of that GTA content, we’d much rather have an entirely new game thank you Rockstar. We have high hopes for Agent.
