Max Payne 3 May Have A Whiff Of Uncharted, But Hey, There's A Long Time For Things To Change.

You probably want Max Payne 3 sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, we’re afraid Take Two say you can’t have it. In a financial and earnings report yesterday, the publisher announced that Max Payne 3 has been pushed back to the company’s fiscal Q4 2010. That puts the game somewhere around the August, October 2010 point, rather than the previously announced (and unlikely) Winter 2009 date.

Yee-hawww! Red Dead Redemption Is Due For Release On April 27th.

You might be aware that Red Dead Redemption is coming sometime in April – but now we can be all precise. The game’s due for Playstation 3 release on April 27th. Mark your calendars. If you managed to catch the leaked trailer yesterday, you’ll know it looks bloody awesome too.

Just missing out on the busiest quarter for video games ever, Rockstar Vancouver’s Red Dead Redemption has been leaked to have an April release. According to Rockstar, there’ll be a new trailer next week which will probably tell us more about the game’s release.

We Absolutely Have A Soft-Spot For Games Involving Cowboys & What-not.

This is a screenshot from Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption. A new one in fact. Joystiq have a few more you can peruse at your leisure. The game continues to look impressive with each new batch of screenshots released. And with Rockstar at the helm, it’s hard not to be a teensy bit excited. Unless you absolutely hate GTAIV. In which case – you’re probably not going to buy this out of principle or something.

Max Payne 3 Has More Than A Whiff Of Uncharted About It.

Replace the gaunt looking character from the above screenshot with Nathan Drake or Chris Redfield and you have the perfect Uncharted or Resident Evil 5 screenshot. Interestingly this is in fact Max Payne 3. Quite the shocker really. Alas this really is the new Max Payne game. Yeah, not much else to say.

Max Payne 3 Is Due This Coming Winter.

Rockstar Games have just announced Max Payne 3 for the Playstation 3, XBOX 360 and PC. The game will hit this coming winter and is being developed by Rockstar Vancouver.

The sequel will tell the tale of a retired police detective “embroiled in a world of corruption, turmoil and intense violence.”

Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games had to say:

“We’re starting a new chapter of Max’s life with this game. This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation.”
