As Far As We're Aware BTR8ION Is The First Album Produced Entirely On PSP.
Check it out. We knew Beaterator was cool when we reviewed it, but we never expected anyone to actually record and produce a full album-esque mixtape on the thing. But that’s totally what DJ Kiva has done, using his PSP to loops samples and beats on his record BTR8ION. You can listen to the mixtape here, it’s actually pretty cool.
PushSquare’s very own Sammy had a go at mixing his own tune in Beaterator late last year. You can check that out here if you want a better idea of what the platform can do.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars launched in the US on the PSP today, available via both UMD and Digital Download. Rockstar have celebrated the launch with a new trailer, which you can watch above.
Not content with trailers though, Rockstar have also rolled out new features for those members of the Rockstar Social Club. The new Peking Duck Hunt mini game allows you to earn in-game currency for Chinatown Wars whilst you’re not even playing the game. There’s also a guidemap and paper-craft models from elements in the game.

Sammy Takes You Through A Song Composition In Beaterator.
Hi, I’m Sammy Barker. I write for PushSquare.com but I also try to make music in my spare time (check out Sammy’s “single” Gin & Tonic here/iTunes). As an experienced amateur music producer – I say experienced because I spend most of my time getting angry that nothing sounds right – I really wanted to give Rockstar’s Beaterator a go. Expecting little more than a portable loops tool Beaterator has impressed me no end, and I’m here to share with you my experience putting together the PushSquare song that was written while I was reviewing the game.

Beaterator Features Timbaland Heavily.
The much rumoured Beaterator game from Rockstar is to hit the PSP this September 29th (US)/October 2nd (Europe) via UMD and PSN download.
Popstar Timbaland is on board for the release, claiming, “I’ve worked closely with Rockstar Games to make something completely unique. Beaterator is like taking my music studio and turning it into a suite of tools anyone can use. We can’t wait to hear the beats people make and share with the world.”
It’s the first PSP title from Rockstar Leeds to hit the PSP this year, with Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on the horizon. Check out the trailer after the jump.
