Prototype - Kinda Broken At The Moment.
Who was excited for Prototype? Quite a few people we daresay. Well those of you in the US may know all about having your hopes dashed, seeing as the game is essentially broken. Gamers popping in their shiny new Prototype discs are being told they don’t have enough hard-drive space to install the game. Even when they do.
An annoying “fix” has been clarified by Activision which has been reported (rather ironically) by Joystiq: change the amount of free hard disk space on your system by 700MB. This can be done by either installing another PS3 game (like Infamous), downloading game demos (like the Infamous demo), or downloading and removing videos from the hard drive (like videos of Infamous).
Activision say there’s a patch on the way so hopefully everyone will be playing Prototype on their PS3 as soon as possible.

This is the intro to the upcoming Prototype, an ostentatious open-world affair where you practically have all the powers of a small army. Needless to say it looks quite good. And this intro is no exception; it’s awesome.

Prototype looks pretty cool, but if we’re worried about anything, it’s the mission variety. We’re worried this game will get pretty repetitive, fast. This trailer has done little to quell our concerns, but we have to admit, all the objectives (stealth aside) look pretty fun, mainly because of the protagonist’s abilities.
It’s going to be interesting playing this game for the first time.

Prototype May Never Have Reached Its Potential Without A Delay.
Prototype is a crazy kind of free-roaming sandbox brawler in which you elbow-drop tanks and throw cars at helicopters. Nothing in this game is understated, and it’s with the help of a delay that its developers Radical Games were able to realise that accolade:
“The original vision for the game was huge, perhaps a little too huge, so the extra time in development has let us realize that vision,” said executive producer Tim Bennison.
There’s no doubt that the game is looking a little rough around the edges, but if polish is replaced with scale and objective then Prototype could be a sleeper hit when it releases in a few months times.
