Could This Be The Playstation Motion Controller's Logo?
Update @ 19:26 – VG247 are reporting that the name Playstation Arc – what was commonly thought to be the official name of Sony’s device – has been dropped.
Sony filed a trademark for the name “Playstation Move” in Europe yesterday. Apparently, the name’s for a control device which might hint at yet another name for the Playstation Motion Controller. Other rumoured names include the Playstation Arc and Playstation Gem.
The filing also includes a logo, which looks a bit like a squiggly “A”. Make of it what you will.
There’s every possibility, all will be revealed tonight at GDC.

Sony's Playstation Motion Controller Tech Looks Really Impressive.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Sony’s Playstation Motion Controller. In many ways, the hugely impressive tech Sony showed at E3 has been forgotten. Well prepare to remember the serious potential of 1:1 augmented reality control folks, because this first in a series of developer diaries is seriously impressive.
More news is expected during this week’s GDC.

By All Accounts Sony Are Pushing This Motion Control Thing Pretty Hard.
Sony’s Patrick Seybold has told VG247 that the Playstation Motion Controller will get an “aggressive” push at launch. Seybold was also quoted as claiming that the Playstation Motion Controller is a “step ahead of anything” currently or soon-to-be available, i.e. Nintendo’s Wiimote and Microsoft’s Project Natal camera.
“While I won’t comment on rumors of pricing for our product or anyone else’s, the PlayStation Motion Controller is revolutionary and a step ahead of anything currently on the market,” he told VG247.
“Its fast, precise and incredibly accurate. Our heritage at PlayStation is great games for all tastes, ages and genres and our motion control product will be executed, marketed and promoted in the same capacity with an aggressive approach.”
Tiger Woods 11 was confirmed earlier to support Sony’s latest tech.

Definitely Expect One Of These With Your Playstation Motion Controller.
It’s GDC and Playstation Motion Controller speculation is at an all time low. Namely regarding the Playstation Motion Controller’s nunchuk accessory, which we reported on earlier in the year.
Already aware of the accessories existence, Develop has practically shut the lid tight on the peripheral, stating that Sony’s new Playstation Motion Controller will work in tandem with a nunchuck-esque accessory.
Develop claim through their industry source that while the Playstation Motion Controller may share similarities with Nintendo’s Wii, Sony will hope to tempt developers away from Nintendo’s platform and onto the graphically superior Playstation 3 hardware.
More details are expected this week during GDC. A full-scale reveal is possible.

Tiger Woods 11 Will Feature Playstation Motion Controller Support.
Stocks in Tiger Woods may have dropped in recent months, but golf video games with well implemented motion controls have become no less fun. Thus, it’s extremely exciting to hear that Tiger Woods 11 will include support for Sony’s upcoming Playstation Motion Controller to “give gamers an authentic interactive swing experience”.
There aren’t any concrete details on the implementation yet, however the game is pledged to release on June 8th, a fair few months before Sony’s Playstation Motion Controller is due.
Still, like Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, it’s likely the game will get a patch to support the controls.
We’ll likely hear a bit more about this during GDC.

One Would Hope We Can Finally Stop Using The Same Pictures After GDC.
According to VG247, Sony will release information on the Playstation Motion Controller and its partners tomorrow. The announcement will come just a day before Sony host a GDC-related press conference in San Francisco.
We’re still clutching at straws for more concrete information here, but we do believe the controller’s going to be compatible with some kind of wireless nunchuck.
More when it hits, we guess.

The Playstation Motion Controller's Going To Be Getting A Wireless Nunchuck, Yo.
Without being smug: we told you so. Sources coming out of GDC are confirming that, yes, Sony’s Playstation Motion Controller will have a wireless nunchuck device. One GAF poster, “ichinisan”, claimed to have seen images of the Playstation Motion Controller and its nunchuck.
He wrote:
“Nunchuck has an analog stick at the front, below that X and O and below that a D pad. Underneath is L1 and L2. Its actually long, not like the Wii Nunchuk.
“As for the Wand it has one very big button on top and then all four facebuttons (X,O,Square and Triangle) and underneath is a big trigger called T.”
We’d put money on this stuff getting shown at this week’s GDC.
