LEGO: Rock Band on Playstation 3 Review.

LEGO Rock Band sounded ridiculous when it was announced, and playing the game has failed to convince us it’s anything otherwise. But at the same time: it’s absolutely not terrible. The song listing’s fine, the LEGO angle injects humour, and the Rock Band gameplay is still as stellar – if not quite as original – as ever.

There's Unlikely To Be Anymore Rock Band Unplugged DLC. But There's Still Tons To Choose From.

With over 100 tracks already available for Rock Band Unplugged, Harmonix have decided to call an end to any new DLC for the title. For the time-being anyway. The company told Joystiq that Rock Band Unplugged has “run through [its] planned slate” and that they were “very pleased with the performance of the Rock Band Unplugged game on PSP, the Rock Band PSP bundle and PSPgo starter kit”.

Harmonix didn’t rule out future releases, but did state that the team are now busy working on the “Rock Band Network, weekly console DLC, and unannounced future projects”.

Harmonix explained to Kotaku that they are working on public beta tools due for release before “the end of the year.”

The “port” will be titled Singstar: The Beatles and will feature everything from the upcoming The Beatles: Rock Band, just without the instruments.

The rumour, started by MCV, hints at a release “within days” of The Beatles: Rock Band’s September 9th launch.

Rock Band Unplugged won’t satisfy everyone with its track selection but the core gameplay is rewarding enough to make the package an extremely enjoyable one.
