Looks Like It Will Sell Gajillions, Right?
If you’re living under a rock Japan, prepare to flip out. There’s a new Monster Hunter game coming to PSP. Announced at a competition (!) in Tokyo, the game is a spin-off featuring the Toro mascots. The game is entitled “Monhan Nikki Poka Poka Airu Mura”, or “Monster Hunter Diary Poka Poka Airu Village”.
There are no real details as of yet. Expect to see figures of 1,000,000,000,000 sales the hour after the game launches in Japan, mind.

Monster Hunter is big in Japan. Really big. So big is it that Monster Hunter Freedom Unite – the game that just released here in the west – has sold a whopping 3.5 million units since its release in March, of which 1 million units came from the budget “The Best” line.

The Monster Hunter Gathering Hall Has Friggin' Monsters On The Front.
We gave you details on the opening of London’s Monster Hunter Gathering Hall yesterday. But now we have some shots of the building itself. There are some indoor views here, but look at the front. It’s so frigging cool. We’re amazed how far Capcom are going with this Monster Hunter thing. It’s kinda awesome.

Capcom’s Monster Hunter Freedom Unite onslaught continues with this TV ad. It depicts something that’s happened to pretty much all of us on the walk home from work/school. You discover a giant footprint on a grass verge and curiously stop to investigate, only to end up standing face to face with a giant thing.
It’s happened to us twice already this week. It’s only Wednesday!

Let's Go Huntin', Huntin', Huntin' In London Town.
Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is massive in Japan. We know that, we post about it all the time. In the West – not so much. But that’s something Capcom are hoping to change.
A big part of the Monster Hunter experience is the community aspect. Meeting up with friends and playing the game together. Capcom aim to recreate that experience in the UK by opening the Gathering Hall in London, a location catered specifically to multiplayer Monster Hunter sessions. Entry is free for those who have a PSP and a copy of the newly released Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Situated at 121 Charing Cross Road, a stones throw away from Tottenham Court Road tube station in central London, the Gathering Hall will be open from 3PM on Friday 3rd July.
If anyone manages to make it, make sure you send us some photos.
