Magic Ball Still Looks Like This, It's Just, It's Called Magic Orbz Now. Shrugs.
The bad news: for some reason PSN favourite Magic Ball is set to become Magic Orbz. The good news: a patch heading to Europe on January 7th, and America on January 14th means new content (the Winter Theme Pack Add-On) is headed to the game.
“TikGames and Creat Studios are thrilled to deliver even more fun-filled and addictive content for our Magic Orbz fans on PlayStation Network,” said Anatoly Tikhman, Founder and CEO of TikGames, LLC “and we look forward to introducing the excitement to new players, as well.”
We really like Magic Bal…–erm–Orbz. If you like Breakout and lovely visuals, it’s totally worth a shot.

- Magic Ball ($2.99) – “Wicked Witches” level pack including new levels and trophies.
- Cuboid – 33 new levels ($2.99) and a level editor ($3.99). A bundle of both items will cost $4.99.
- Mahjong Tales – 25 new levels and a level editor $4.99.
It all sounds like excellent value to us. We love you Creat.

Creat Studios Love Working With The PS3.
Creat Studios are making a splash on the PSN. We really loved Magic Ball, Cuboid and Mahjong Tales. Speaking with Casualgaming.biz, producer Mikhail Glazyrin reckons there are “very few limitation” working with the PSN.
“PS3 is a tremendous platform from which to work,” Glazyrin states. As evidenced by the wonderfully diverse catalog of games on the PSN, Glazyrin revels in the freedom PSN gives developers. “The PSN platform has very few limitations, and it compares favorably to its rivals.” Sony’s support of Creat has been “great” according to Glazyrin, and the ability to access tools like Havok for free makes it possible to “implement real physics – even in games with a moderate budget.”
Creat have two more PSN titles in the works. If they’re as awesome as Magic Ball, well, they’re going to be special!

Magic Ball on Playstation 3 Review
Magic Ball is much more than a quirky “HD Remix” of the classic Breakout gameplay; it’s an exciting physics led experience that is deeply let down by the high price point and lack of levels and variety.
