There's A Special Code In Final Fantasy XIII Offering Some Of You Access To FFXIV's PS3 Beta.

If you’ve picked up Final Fantasy XIII this morning, you should probably know that there’s an extra little surprise hidden in the box. If you take a little peek at the manual compartment, you’ll note there’s a Square Enix Members Card. This will allow you to register on the Square Enix Members website, and will earn you a bonus item in Final Fantasy XIV – the next MMO installment in the Final Fantasy franchise – when it launches later this year.

Not only that, but entering the code will give you potential access to the Final Fantasy XIV closed beta on Playstation 3.

So there you have it, if you want in, get looking for that code in your box. Lightning’s plight can wait an extra 30 minutes, right?

Final Fantasy XIII Will Come With Final Fantasy XIV Beta Access.

It’s been revealed via scans from Shonen Jump magazine that Japanese copies of Final Fantasy XIII will include beta entry to Final Fantasy XIV- the online MMO from Square Enix. We’re assuming the beta will be for PC, even though the game is due on Playstation 3 aswell.

Still, it’s a nice little extra incentive (as if any was needed) for the Japanese to pick up a copy of Final Fantasy XIII when it launches next month.

New Final Fantasy XIV artwork has gone live as part of the launch of the game’s official website. It features details of regions that will feature in the game, alongside information on character races and whatnot. You get the drift – if you like the fiction you might find something of interest on the site.

A Trailer For Exclusive Final Fantasy XIV Was Shown At Sony's E3.

Igniting a few sharp intakes, Sony today announced that the next entry in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy XIV will be a Playstation 3 exclusive. A short trailer of the game was shown but few details, apart from a 2010 release date, were announced.

- Jack Tretton just dropped the bomb that Final Fantasy XIV will be a Playstation 3 exclusive.

- This is a megaton. Greeted with a range of deep breathes from the audience.

- There were a lot of “What?” comments heard.

- The game looks beautiful.

- Final Fantasy XIV – Online.

- “So there’s one that didn’t leak out, eh?”

- No real details, just a trailer.
