EA have released the first teaser trailer for next year’s Skate 3 – which according to the new footage suggests the game focuses very heavily on “team skating”. You’ll be playing in teams of four online for popularity within the Skate.Feed community. It’s a cool idea, but it’ll be interesting to see just how well it actually works.
Just like with Skate 2, Black Box are planning on upping the ante with the film maker and skate park editor. They’re also planning on allowing players to seamlessly share user created content within the game, opening the door to endless amounts of content.
The game’s due for release in 2010.

Skate 3 Is Headed To The Playstation 3 Mid-Next Year.
Blimey what’s this? A new game announcement? Hurrah. EA have announced the third entry in their popular skateboarding series, Skate 3. The new game will be all about co-op and social teamwork, as explained by the game’s senior producer Jason DeLong.
“The social and community aspects of the SKATE franchise are something we’ve always embraced, but we’ve never done anything to the scale you’re going to see in SKATE 3. We’re giving gamers a very unique experience by providing them with the tools they need to build their ultimate team or to create a team comprised entirely of their online friends. From there, it’s all about proving yourself – teaming up, and throwing down.”
The sequel will also do a greater job of teaching new players the ropes, with a more detailed Skate School. The game will also beef up the Create mode, allowing players to build their own skate parks, graphics and videos.
The game’s target release is May 2010.
