Evening all. It’s the calm before the storm a little this week. That storm is obviously Modern Warfare 2 themed.

Insomniac’s premier Playstation platforming duo make their third entry on the PS3 in just as many years. Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time took a little while longer to hit Europe, but that means it can achieve our pick of the week status.

Yesterday we told you that Dragon Age: Origins was getting a small delay on Playstation 3.That ain’t so now folks. Europeans will have to wait a little a longer, but hey – if you were excited for Dragon Age, we assume you’re pretty stoked right now.

Playstation 3 players will get their hands on Dragon Age: Origins a little bit later than everybody else, as the game is set to launch on November 17th. The reason for delay is just so Bioware can tune the game “up to standards” which to be honest, given the history of companies just releasing shitty ports to PS3, we can admire in Bioware. Yes there’s a little delay, but hey, it shows the consumer base that they care enough to not re-release a sub-standard product. Which is nice to know.

Dragon Age “Ultimate Collector’s Edition” Takes The Rip Out Of The Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Pack, Features Sausage

If you hadn’t stopped chuckling over the inclusion of “demon tits” in Bioware’s Dragon Age: Origins then we’ve got another slice of genius for you. The “official” [please note, this is a joke and thus not official at all - Ed] unboxing of the Dragon Age “collector’s” edition. Which includes sausage. Yes, sausage.

Enjoy.

Dragon Age: Origins Has Implied Eroticism, Beastality & Demon Tits

The ESRB’s rating for Dragon Age: Origins has kicked up a few spoilers on the sexytime front. Players can enter brothels within the game and end up “face-to-face with a woman, a man, a transsexual, or an animal”. According to the ESRB, “Players can also initiate brief cutscene sequences in which couples (male and female or same sex couples) can be depicted kissing, embracing, and caressing one another as the screen fades to black”.

Despite the sexual nature of these encounters you’ll only come face-to-face with a pair of Demon tits throughout the whole experience.

Bioware Are “Really Pumped” About Working On The Playstation 3

Bioware Are Really Excited To Be Bringing Dragon Age: Origins To PS3.

Popular developers Bioware, the team behind the 360’s Mass Effect, have claimed they are “really pumped” to be working on the PS3 with the upcoming Dragon Age: Origins.

The vice president of Bioware, Greg Zeschuk, has said that the team have found developing on the PS3 rather “exciting”.

“It’s been interesting,” he said. “It’s actually been quite good. We discovered a couple of things we did were pretty beneficial. We have multiple threads going for the game and it looks really great on the PS3. You can just throw them on all different processors, for example.

“It’s new. Because we already had experience on 360, that kind of got ahead a little bit, but now we pretty much caught up. Actually it was very exciting. People on the team were really pumped to work on it. They were like, wow. We have a lot of people that like doing new stuff and trying new things, and they were like, wow another platform, can’t wait! It’s been good.”

“It’s going to be exciting having a PS3 game out finally. We only did one PS2 game – MDK2 on PS2. It’s not like we have anything against Sony by any stretch. It’s just that from a publishing perspective we worked with Microsoft for five years – that made it so easy to focus on Xbox and we didn’t have to worry about the PlayStation platforms. But now, since being part of EA, it just makes complete sense. It’s something we’re totally behind.”

With a lot of developers claiming about the difficulty of programming for the Playstation 3, Bioware only had nice things to say.

“It’s not bad actually,” he said when asked about development struggle on the platform. “It’s funny, we had extra graphic memory left over on the PS3. We were like, wow! So we actually started putting some of the audio bits in there and stuff. It’s a function of effort. Overall, pretty happy with how it’s turning out.”

Greg also went on to confirm that the graphics between the PS3 and XBOX 360 versions of Dragon Age will be virtually identical.

“Oh yeah. I can’t say absolutely for sure [the graphics will be similar]. There will be elements that will be better… the actual graphics hardware is different on them, so one may be brighter than the other, but definitely the content will be absolutely the same.”

Hooray for good ports and hooray for a developer that doesn’t seem intent on complaining. We look forward to your game Bioware.
