Burnout Paradise: Still One Of The Best Games On Playstation 3.

If you want value for money, you should probably buy Burnout Paradise. Either that, or wait a little while for the PSN release of the Burnout Paradise Complete Edition which is heading to the PSN “soon”.

Burnout Paradise. On The Mooooon...

No, we’re not quoting one of the many Giant Bombcast’s classic quotes – Criterion actually toyed with the idea of placing Burnout Paradise on the moon for a DLC pack. The news comes from a blog by Criterion, which also details helicopters, time travel and planes.

We’d love Burnout on the moon. In fact, that would be insanely awesome.

Hopefully they’ll do something similar for the Need For Speed game they’re making. Which is going to be awesome by the way. Because Criterion are making it.

Services Like The PSN Are Keeping Games Relevant For Longer.

I write this grudgingly. Almost as grudgingly as having to give away the last Ferrero Rocher in a pack. You see as I’m typing this, I could be playing the new Wipeout HD Fury pack. That makes me kind of furious. But at the very least my feelings have helped me conjure up a topic for this week’s opinator, namely; the scope of DLC is changing.

Pictured is the diamond encrusted P12, a reward for all those Paradise City residents who’ve spent their time completing all 500 online freeburn challenges, including everything from the original game, the new timed and freeburn challenges in the Cagney update, Bikes Pack and Big Surf Island. So only about 200 hours gameplay then.

Alas, do it all and this car shall be your reward. For free. We’re curious if anyone has got it yet.

Ahhh A Toy Delorean. What More Could You Want?

Oh Criterion. How we love thee. Not content with making the best piece of DLC period, they’ve also packed it with value. Namely toy versions of the Legendary Cars pack we reviewed earlier in the year. To earn the toy cars you’re going to need to hit all 15 Mega Jumps, 45 Billboards, 75 Smashes, and complete all 24 Road Rules.

Burnout Paradise: Big Surf Island (DLC) on Playstation 3 Review.

Burnout Paradise’s Big Surf Island is probably the most anticipated piece of DLC ever. We’re quite confident in saying that, such is the love for both the original game and what Criterion claimed to be creating here. Taking all the best bits from Paradise City and compressing them all together into a new island for under £10/$13 — how could it possibly fail?

Big Surf Island Will Add A Whole New Island To The Burnout Paradise Map.

A few pages regarding Burnout Paradise’s Big Surf Island DLC went online early recently, meaning tipsters revealed the price of the package before was supposedly intended. At just $12.99 (€12.99 in Europe, £9.99 UK) it seems like Criterion have learned from their mistakes on earlier DLC and really want to make this thing available to everyone.
