If you’re a hardcore British gamer who likes nothing more than chillin’ to the back catalogue of Michael Jackson – then you’re out of luck. Sony has confirmed to VG247 that there are no plans to bring the recently announced “This Is It” bundle to the UK.

The bundle’s due for release in Japan later this month. Guess you’ll just have to make do with like a PS3, and a copy of the “This Is It” blu-ray. Seperately. Think about it though: it’s the same thing.

Surely confirming there’ll be a Michael Jackson SingStar game at some point in the coming year, Sony of Japan has confirmed a Michael Jackson branded PS3 bundle, which includes a Slim and a copy of “This Is It,” the MJ movie on blu-ray.

It’s due out for sale on the 27th January in Japan, for ¥33,500.

Sony seem quite keen on bundling up Playstation 3s around the world right now. The problem is, there seems to be no real consistency over who is getting what. Take this statement from Sony UK regarding NextGamer.nl’s uncovered Tekken 6 bundle, “We’re not doing that bundle but one of the territories might be.” Erm, ok. Seems like Sony are as confused as we are about who is getting which bundles.
