Motorstorm Arctic Edge Is Not Far Away From Powersliding Onto The PSP.
Motorstorm: Arctic Edge has been confirmed as a welcoming gift for the oncoming winter (boo!), launching on UMD September 29th and download on October 1st. Of course, that puts Motorstorm: Arctic Edge right next to Gran Turismo PSP as a spiritual launch title for the PSP Go, which launches on the same day. Both releases are priced at $39.99 and include 12 reversible tracks and eight vehicle classes.
Those of you waiting out for the PS2 version of the game will have to hold out until “later this fall”. The PS2 version will be identical aside from the inclusion of split screen multiplayer.
Did we mention this game looks gorgeous for a PS2 title?

E3 2009 Build Up - Most Anticipated: #10; Motorstorm: Arctic Edge.
Motorstorm has been one of the breakout Playstation 3 franchises in the past few years. Alongside Resistance and Uncharted, it is now one of the more important titles in defining the Playstation experience. Like Resistance, Motorstorm is preparing its jump onto the PSP and PS2 this year with Motorstorm: Arcitic Edge.
Motorstorm has always been a graphical powerhouse, and that’s one thing we’ll be looking forward to seeing at this years E3. How have they pushed the PSP/PS2 hardware? Are there any new features? Will the Monster Trucks return?
We can’t wait to see how Arctic Edge lives up to its name either. No doubt there will be cracked ice and global warming to take into consideration; the external elements being something that has always made Motorstorm such a deep and endearing franchise.

Alas, in an interview with PocketGamer, Richard Ogden – the game’s director – confirmed both ad-hoc and infrastructure multiplayer components. He also discusses the new engine crafted for the game and some of the track’s new icey hazards.
We know LittleBigPlanet is coming to the PSP but, at the moment, this is our most anticipated.
