Just Cause 2 on Playstation 3 Demo Impressions.

At first we were a little disappointed with Just Cause 2. It’s a game we’ve been following closely here at PushSquare, namely because the original was somewhat of a flawed gem. Getting hands-on time with the recently released demo is the first time we’ve had a chance to play Just Cause 2 here at PushSquare towers, and honestly it didn’t leave the best first impression. The opening cut-scene seemed ridiculous, but then we’re not playing Just Cause 2 for story. No there was something about the controls that felt a little sticky. Then it clicked: we used our grapple hook to attach a leaking gas canister to a tyre. As the pressure in the gas canister gained momentum, we watched in delight as it went shooting upwards, the attached tyre flailing about behind it. Suddenly Just Cause 2 didn’t seem as “sticky” as before – it seemed as awesome as we’d predicted.

Just Cause 2 Gets A (Presumably Awesome) Demo On March 4th

Just A Typical Piece Of GamePlay In Just Cause 2.

Just A Typical Spot Of GamePlay In Just Cause 2.

Good news folks, Just Cause 2 is set to get a PSN demo on March 4th. Why is this good news? Because no-one seems to give a shit about Just Cause 2 at the moment – but they totally will when they get to play it, yo!

You’ll get to mess around on a 35 square-mile sandbox of complete and utter fun. Of course, the full game will offer vast amounts of more land — but for a demo, 35 of the full 400 square miles should provide enough to cause chaos.

Just Cause 2 is out at the end of March and is going to be properly amazing. We called it last year. You still don’t care about the game, we know. But you will when you try the demo.

Just Cause 2 Will Just Not Stop Looking Awesome

You know what, we’ve called it a hundred time but there’s no harm in calling it again: Just Cause 2 is definitely going to be this year’s sleeper hit. Do many people care about the game at this point? It seems not. But you know what, you absolutely should. And if you want a reason, watch the trailer embedded above.

In what can only be described as a master-class of viral marketing, the latest Just Cause 2 trailer is fully interactive. Kinda. It uses YouTubes video link tools to create the kind of trailer you want, based on your play type. It also helps showcase the depth of Just Cause 2’s gameplay variety. Game is still flying under the radar, but looks even better each time we see it.

Just Cause 2 Continues To Look Like 2010’s Sleeper Hit Of The Year

Website visitor statistics tell us more than how shit our site performs during Thanksgiving; they tell us where public interest lies. For example, a post about Modern Warfare 2 sends the crowds running. But no matter how positive we are about Just Cause 2, no one seems to give a shit.

We’re sorry Avalanche, but that’s just what we’re seeing on our end.

Still, that’s not indicative of the game’s quality at all. Hence our sleeper hit comment. Sure, it’s a bit too early to be making suggestions of that calibre, but, c’mon guys – look at it. It looks amazing.

Square Announce A March Release For The, Frankly Fantastic Looking Just Cause 2

This Screen Probably Says Something About Our Excitement For Just Cause 2.

This Screen Probably Says Something About Our Excitement For Just Cause 2.

We’ve not been short on our admiration for Just Cause 2, so imagine the party in the office as we type these words: Just Cause 2 is coming in March. Just to further populate the most ridiculous release schedule, like, ever, Square Enix announced that Avalanche’s Just Cause 2 will hit Playstation 3 on the 23rd and 26th of March in the US and Europe respectively.

It still feels weird talking about Eidos stuff as Square Enix and what-not.
