Kevin Butler Shows Off The Playstation Move The Only Way He Knows How, Through Time Travel

Kevin Butler – Sony’s faux vice president of various departments – has been one of the best things to come out of Playstation marketing since crying babies. Today he’s back, as the “VP of realistic movements”.

This is a Playstation Move centric ad from SCEA and, frankly, it’s fucking brilliant. As all the Kevin Butler commercials are. You’ve gotta dig the way he totally flames Microsoft’s “controller-less” solution. Hilarious. And pretty fucking ambitious for Sony’s marketing department.

Enjoy The Worst God Of War III Commercial You’re Ever Likely To See

The European commercial for God Of War III was semi-awesome. But this American GameStop commercial takes the biscuit. It’s promoting the GameStop exclusive “Phantom Of Chaos Skin” and features the Chimera-thing from the demo. Talking in a ridiculous manner.

Sigh. “Woahhhh – hisss-is that your new outfit Kratossss?”

Check Out SCEE’s Heavy Rain Commercial [It's Pretty Alright]

Surprise! Sony are going to actually promote Heavy Rain as a product. On the television. Blimey! Sony, television, advertising? Who’d have thunk it, eh?

That advert sticks with SCEE’s “Start” tag-line, still not as good as the “Only Does Everything” commercials in America, but the more serious tone probably fits this game better than a Kevin Butler comedy.

Go To HMV Right Now If You Want A PSPgo At An Outrageous Price

If You See This For Under £150 You Should Literally Jump Through Hoops To Get It.

If You See This For Under £150 You Should Literally Jump Through Hoops To Get It.

If you have no real attachment to your old UMDs, are a new PSP buyer, or have made the switch to downloading your PSPs games – we think you should absolutely get a PSPgo. We know people like to moan and moan about the system, but we love ours. It’s super small, has tons of space on board and is a lot more comfortable than current PSP models.

In fact, the only issue as far as we’re concerned, is the price. But hey, would you like to know a secret? HMV are selling PSPgos for £148.99. That’s a crazy price, nearly £80 cheaper than the launch mark-up.

Dude. If you’re in the market for a lovely handheld, head to HMV now.

[Update: Whoops, and it seems like the price is back up to £199.99. Just as we were typing too. Still, that's at least £25 off the mark-up. A decent price all the same.]

Look It’s An Advertisement For A Japanese Beverage Promoting Final Fantasy XIII

So, apparently Japan is hitting Final Fantasy XIII saturation point now. The game’s out in like, just over two weeks, and Japanese presence is ramping up to “big cultural event” point. As evidenced by this advertisement for Elixir, a Japanese beverage.

Dude! Sales predictions, anyone? Remember, the demo pushed PS3 sales through the roof…

Oh Hey Look, It’s A Bayonetta Advert

Don’t you just love Japanese adverts? “Non-stop climax action – BAYONETTA!” We love that little Playstation 3 ident thing at the end aswell. Brilliant. It’s going to be interesting how the spread of sales for Bayonetta actually turn out — with the XBOX 360 version scoring a 40/40, two marks more than the Playstation 3 version due to performance issues. Surely, the Japanese contingent won’t care about that too much?

Kevin Butler’s Back In Another Crazy Awesome SCEA Advert

If you’ve been worried Sony won’t get behind Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time – worry no longer. Sony have just shown off their latest advert in the “It Only Does Everything Campaign”. We actually think this one might be our favourite to be honest.

Check it out above.

Kevin Butler — legend.
