This is your first glimpse of J. Jonah Jameson in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and he’s dressed as – well, Santa Claus! The editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle is trying to dream up one of his infamous web-slinger putdowns, when both Miles and Peter Parker smash through his studio, trying to wrangle Rhino. It follows a stunning set-piece, where the dynamic duo rush through a mall, outfitted with Christmas decorations.
We also overhear a phone call between Miles and his mother, where the pair speak some Spanish. Are you impressed by what you’ve seen of this release so far? Do your best J. Jonah Jameson impression in the comments section below.

Is this the PS5 version? The graphics are incredible everywhere except JJJ’s fake beard which just looks strange. I don’t know what it is, it just sticks out really heavily.
HO HO HO
MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU MASKED MENACE
I'LL HAVE YOU STRUNG UP BY YOUR OWN WEB LIKE A CHRISTMAS MISLETOE YOU ARACHNID LUNATIC
Such a little thing but I love in inclusion of the Spanish dialogue.
@TheIdleCritic Would he be Miles Morales without it? His Hispanic roots are kind of a big thing with his character lol
@TheFrenchiestFry that's a good point lol.
So cool! Can't wait to play this game!!!!!
@nessisonett Maybe it's done on purpose because it's supposed to be fake?
@nessisonett I want to give Insomniac the benefit of the doubt because everything else looks so clean, but if anything is true it's that beards look terrible in all video games. When we can finally render beards well, we'll have reached the pinnacle of graphical prowess.
I loved every aspect of Marvel Spiderman, but the Jameson radio shows were one of my favourite things about the game. Thrilled to see him return for Miles Morales, such a hilarious inclusion.
@TheIdleCritic @Nickolaidas It reminds me of how capes used to look on PS3. They always clipped through the character’s face and body and never actually looked right in motion. Perhaps the fake beard is the cape of this generation.
@TheIdleCritic I urge you to look at the facial hair in Baldur's Gate 3. They look pretty damn good.

@Nickolaidas Looks a bit flat, but yes, that's the best in game Dwarven beard I've seen.
@TheIdleCritic Check the haircuts in the gif below the dwarf pic.
@Nickolaidas I'll admit that does look good. Might have to get it when it eventually comes out. I liked Divinity 2.
@TheIdleCritic If you have a solid PC and can spare the cash, Early Access is available for purchase. 25 hours of gameplay (many bugs and glitches though).
@Nickolaidas Oh no. Will it not come out on consoles?
I used to have a PC. Built one. But I had to transition to Mac due to what I do (editing, design, etc). Stopped gaming on my PC years ago.
@TheIdleCritic Early access is on PC and Staadia. It'll definitely come to consoles once it's fully done (early access means it's basically beta-testing). Larian takes the feedback as we play and basically improve the build, eventually releasing the full game.
Imagine that Early Access is Act I, which is about 25 hrs of gameplay, and the final game will have about three to four Acts, resulting in a whooping 100-125 hrs of gameplay.
@Nickolaidas If the game has actual cutscenes for dialogue, and the gameplay is somewhat like Divinity 2 then that's greats. I take it because it's in early access it'll be a while until it properly comes out?
@TheIdleCritic Gameplay is more like Divinity 2, but cutscenes and interactions are 100% like Mass Effect/Dragon Age Origins - which makes it a lot more cinematic than Divinity (which is great, because the visuals are simply breathtaking).
Yes, full game will likely be out around 2022.
That's actually kinda wholesome, not gonna lie
