Sony's Days of Play sale is coming to an end today in the UK, but its impact on the charts is noticeable. As with last week, the latest physical chart sees a dramatic boost in sales for PlayStation 4 exclusives.
Days Gone has fallen back to 11th, but The Last of Us Remastered has moved up a spot into eighth. Marvel's Spider-Man also climbs into the top 10, moving up four places. While these games are doing well from the sale, old favourites continue to dominate. FIFA 20 is back at number one, while the likes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Grand Theft Auto V make up the middle.
With Days of Play winding down, we'd expect first party PS4 games to slip out of the top 10. Still, Sony won't be too worried about that; The Last of Us Part II is less than two weeks away.
Here's the latest top 10 in full.
UK Sales Charts: Week Ending 6th June 2020
- FIFA 20
- Ring Fit Adventure
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
- Grand Theft Auto V
- 51 Worldwide Games
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- The Last of Us Remastered
- Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
- Marvel's Spider-Man

Death Stranding was also part of the promotion, sad that it couldn't break into the top ten.
@East76landS Death Stranding is number 27, if you're interested.
Picked up SWJ Fallen Order out of this sale, and NFS Payback that's part of the PlayStation Plus sale I think.
@thefirst Same here, will probably do a photo mode run later in the year.
@thefirst I'm playing it at present (at the end of chapter 2 but I'm deliberately delaying my progress) and overall I'm really enjoying it. It's great seeing the world expand as you connect more and more cities as well as all the structures and signs. There's something really positive about the game and the sense of community it creates.
Of course it also has it's flaws and it can be information overload at times but no game's perfect.
@thefirst must admit it feels satisfying to see people liking your structures.
@thefirst Only game I ever platinumed that wasnt by Telltale. Brilliant and unique. That said, I dont think I'll ever play it again. Maybe next decade.
I bought Spiderman...
You're welcome!
@Quintumply What about Dreams and Concrete Genie? They both seem to have been put out to die.
@nookie_egg No sign of either of them in the top 40, sadly.
@Quintumply Can't say I'm surprised, Sony don't give much of a ***** if it isn't one of their big hitters.
Bioshock collection at €9.99 on ps4
But €50 on switch.
Outerworlds €29.99 on ps4 and €59 on switch.
😂😂😂😂😂
Not in UK, but I've got Days Gone, RE7 and Ni No Kuni. I had to control myself to not buy Death Stranding and a few others I really wanna play.
I'm spending far more money than usual in games every month than I did before the quarantine, even with a backlog to play. Are you folks also spending more?
@AdamNovice @Col_McCafferty @East76landS @Starkei @thefirst I’m so glad that Death Stranding is still doing a little slow burning through the gaming community. I’m in the final stretch of the game at about the 80 hour mark and I just love it and simply can’t understand why so many people dismissed it as a “walking simulator” or “hiking simulator.” It’s become one of my favorite games. I can’t stop praising it enough. Hopefully it continues to sell well, because I want to see games that try new and different ideas to get financially rewarded so that developers will take chances in the future; Anyone can churn out an annualized reskin of a successful franchise for the umteenth time to make money, but I want to also see real innovative and artistic ideas propagate amongst the usual standard stuff. The world needs games like Days Gone, FIFA, COD, and Spider-Man which utilize standard mechanics and themes, but we also need new IP’s and varied approach to gameplay to keep the medium fresh.
@Th3solution A tad harsh to compare Days Gone and Spider-Man with FIFA and COD but other than that I totally agree with everything else you have written.
@Col_McCafferty Yeah, I agree. I was just highlighting games with common mechanics vs. a game with novel or new types of gameplay. As open-world action games Days Gone and Spider-Man seem to have fine tuned old formulas, but they are still based on an established set of gameplay mechanics.
@nookie_egg Totally agreed such a crime just refusing too push these unique little titles.
@thefirst Games seem to get build more and more too keep you busy and not always in a good way.
