After years and years of fan demands, EA has announced that a new Skate game is in development – presumably for the PlayStation 5. We say presumably because, well, the publisher quite literally had nothing else to share. No trailer. No name. No vague release date. Nothing. There’s a new Skate game in development, and that’s all you’re getting for now.
Obviously, this is exciting news considering Skate is one of the most requested games of the past few years, but with so little additional information this announcement feels like a complete anti-climax. We’re looking forward to seeing the title in the distant future, we suppose – for now, we’re just satisfied EA’s finally come to its senses and greenlit the project.

Remember when Dragon Age 4 was teased like 5+ years ago in a similar announcement with zero footage or assets to show? Yeah. These kind of reveals are the worst! Who knows how long it'll be for this game to come out, if ever, lol.
I wish you had put as much effort in the article as EA did with the announcement, I mean just the title was enough.
Just knowing that it isn't dead is good news for me. Now we wait.
With this and Tony Hawk back (albeit with rather more to its announcement), I have pretty much everything I ever wanted.
Glad those wanting it got the news they were hoping for, but it was a seriously damp squib announcement. Nothing to show but two old guys trying desperately to be hip dude. Awkward as hell. EA has a track record of announcing games like this, only for them to go AWOL for years and years and years.

I'm guessing they aren't showing anything cause there's nothing to show, they probably gave this the greenlight right after they saw all the positive press and reactions to the Tony Hawk remakes. They realize that "oh wait people still like skateboarding games, holy *****!!"

Didn't they recently say they were only working on a mobile game? The Skate series is my fav series ever, but there's nothing to be excited for yet.
This was only ever going to be a thing because of Toby Hawk Remakes and the hype for that
By the time this comes out everyone will be confused as to why the skateboards have wheels rather than anti-gravity units.
