The Last of Us: Part II will finally release in approximately two weeks, and from Friday, 12th June at 12PM PDT, we’ll be able to talk about it. You can expect a full review on Push Square, and the usual accompanying content, such as videos and features. However, we want to try something different this time around, and ask you: what do you want to know about the sequel?
While we won’t be able to answer all questions – perhaps steer away from story-related queries – our plan is to publish an FAQ getting to the heart of what you want to know. Feel free to leave as many musings as you like in the comments section below, and we’ll compile them and publish a big article once the embargo lifts.

Is it the best looking game on the PS4?
Is there a fart button like Oddworld?
I’d like you guys to try not to show an extreme amount of new footage as I want the game to be as much of a surprise as it can be.
How long is it? And at what ever length it is, is there much "filler" material that slows the game down.
It's two weeks away, and I want to play it. That's all I need to know.
Nothing. Why would anyone want to know anything beforehand instead of experiencing it him/herself.
Do you get to play as Joel at some point in the story?? Or does that give away some of the plot?? Also, being that you've played it, is there a possibility of a last of us 3??
based on how amazing the gameplay and the feel of thrilling survival.
I no longer care about things i read in leaks, it became lame viral with boring jokes being spammed. the gameplay and the atmosphere itself it what sold me in TLOU1.
aside from the main game.
will they ever plan to add multiplayer co-op using Resident Evil Outbreak formula?
I'm no fans of pvp multiplayer, and i dont think pvp suits TLOU.
Is it better than the first one?
I liked the first A LOT but I felt that the stealth was a bit lacking, not enough options! This one seems better with silencers, bow, the grass, the ability to go in and out of stealth...
All I want to know is, is it June 19th yet, and if no why not lol
Sales numbers.
Honestly? Nothing. I don’t plan to read any reviews and avoid all I can. This is the kind of game I’ll buy blindly... but not day one.
There is still the while question of a potential PS5 edition being a whole separate purchase, so that will make me wait quite a bit to buy the thing.
I don't want to know that much really, id rather wait and see myself what its all about. However, I have one Q: Is there anything stand out or new in TLOU2 that could influence future games?
Is there a way to play with toned down violence? I'll be honest, looks like it could get a bit too much.
Also, how loud do the fans get?
For what purpose are we waiting three additional weeks if the game was ready for its previous release date 29th of may?
Also, this is my first time ever pre-purchase. I just can't understand why I payed money, but still have to wait two more weeks)))
Do you know the specific PS4 Pro enhancements ?
Does this game allow for stealthy and action oriented gameplay?
can you play the whole game stealthily or are you forced in open combat and if you are, are you penalized if you only chose stealth skills since you can't get all skills in one play through
Is it wise to play this game if the corona pandemic gives you anxieties?
Will it make my Pro sound like it's about to explode like a lot of the bigger exclusives do?
I'm not really interested in story or game mechanics - I'll discover that for myself. However, I would like to know if what I've read elsewhere about the game making the PS4 (Pro or regular) overheat/do an impression of a jet plane taking off are true. If so, I'd like to know if you guys have discovered ways of reducing this. I don't want to be playing a tense stealth section and be distracted/pulled out of the immersion by my machine. Would be a buzz kill.
@NYJetsfan123. Thats all i want to know.a joel gameplay.word up son
@roe
That's what I want to know, too. Some guys online have already claimed that TLoU2 made their PS4 PROs louder and hotter than any other game. This has me a bit worried.
@Scraggler lame comment
How many new enemy types are introduced? If so, how do they mix things up with regards to how you play?
Are the trophies more achievable than TLOU1 during a standard playthrough.
Is there a giraffe
Do you ever get to ride a sweet hog a la Deacon's bike in Days Gone?
😋
@gollumb82 I have read and heard from couple of reviewers (not from the US) that are playing the game that the PS4 (pro) sounds close to the same way it did when they played Uncharted 4. Same loud intensity you get from most of the most recent PS4 exclusives, but not as loud as some of those other reviewers are making it out to be. I guess this will be different from each user...
Nothing, I only want to play and finish it as soon as possible
@rpg2000
Ok, sounds about right. My PRO was rather loud while playing RDR2 and GOW but nothing my noise cancelling headset couldn't mitigate. To sum up, I am going to go through with this
I wana know how Ellie learnt to swim considering I had to waste 20 minutes swimming around like a clown with a wooden pallet in the 1st one?
@Blacksmith1985 They held it back because they would struggled to get physical copies out in good quantity. Maybe also don't preorder so soon before release and especially from somewhere that takes your money out straight away
How well does the game lend itself to those who are spectating? I often play these big story focused games with my wife. But sometimes it's just endless combat for some games between occasional cut scenes which really isn't ideal.
Also, it's always helpful to know the install size for games!
@LieutenantFatman I think they’ve already said it’s just over 100GB
How long is it?
@Grimwood Pretty sure you'd want to know if the parachute has any holes in it before you jumped out of a plane.
On topic, I'm looking forward to reading the review, but it will make that final week so much longer!
@Larrymccarthy If you want to keep it fresh then don't watch any footage they put out? Pretty self explanatory.
I don't want to be rude, but I really want to know, when this propaganda ends? I'm so bored. There are more articles than Dual Sense ones. Hope that there will be same attention for other games. Thank you.
HLTB - How Long To Beat
I don't want to know anything Saw the last State of Play of it and of course I know I WANT IT
@AdamNovice, well where do you preorder without money anyway?
I don't think it's worth preordering anywhere else except playstation store itself.
Is there any Homestuck content planned?
I want the statue of Ellie.
Wow no answers from Pushsquare what's up guys ? 😉 I'm currently replaying TLoU for a story recap it's even better than I remember !!!
@Blacksmith1985 In the Netherlands some companies do it for free with the normal versions only 25% in advance for the expensive versions. Because they had a few people never picking them up.
To be honest i dont want to know anything i just want too play it. I want to thank you for keeping the site spoiler free. 👍
What kind of jumper were you wearing when you finished it?
Obviously I wanna see about the game in general, graphics, animations, sounds, scenarios, mechanics...
But specially, the most important for me at the moment (maybe for some others player too?)
I saw some leaked spoilers, not gonna say which ones, and I'd to see on the review if the leak was really true, if some or many leaks was wrong, if was right on saying that many spoilers is wrong/fake. Not necessarily one in a specific way, but in general.
And, if the people that saw the leaks and is very unhappy about the story is right in being unhappy, basically, if the story honor the name The Last of Us. The story is bad / good or even fantastic as the first game was.
If the embargo allow story-related review, it would be great to see my question answered in the review
How long does the game take to complete?
How is performance on Slim?
Is the side content meaningful, or filler?
Are the open environments reminiscent of hub like world's that you can explore at your leisure before tackling the main monument/mission?
Does the game have enough infected in it? How are the hordes?
Does it hit a stable 60 fps (especially during the combat) on the Pro?
If I start playing and put the washing out, will it rain?
How does it perform on a standard PS4? They've been worryingly quiet on this front and only mentioned the game on Pro, which seems a bit off considering most people won't play the game this way. I'm getting a sneaking suspicion it'll play like a dog's dinner on the standard consoles.
@Claude
I think Digital Foundry has already got their hands on the game and it runs at 1440p and 30 fps on the PRO. The framerate is reportedly steady, with minor drops in action-packed sequences. Don't know about slims but my guess is 1080p and 30 fps. Knowing Naughty Dog's track record for games I wouldn't worry.
Wordt het spel ook in het Nederlands gesproken uitgebracht?
@Flaming_Kaiser well thanks for letting me know. Anyway, I'm too far from Netherlands to consider this as an option for myself.
In Ukraine you can pre-order only for full price upfront. And it also makes no real sence, as there's a good chance you'll receive it with delay for a couple of days due to COVID-19 stuff etc.
So, digital is 100% the way to go for.
@Old-Red This is the reason I haven't pre-ordered. If it's like Cyberpunk and you get a copy on PS5 great. If it doesn't and it's crap on the standard ps4 I would rather wait and get on ps5. Although this does mean trying to avoid spoilers.
I won't be reading any reviews until I've played it. I've got high hopes for Part 2. All I need now is Blue Point to remake Part 1 in the same engine then release on the PS5 😎
Does Joel die?
@gollumb82 Thank you for the answer. I really appreciate it.
@Arugula nothing remains from the first one completely new game you're going to start out with nothing like on the first one
@Blacksmith1985 I think its nonsense too ask money upfront for a basic copy they can sell them easy. Collectors Editions i do understand for those they ask cash upfront. I had too wait two months for FF7R because the deluxe version was sold out everywhere. 😆
How good is the AI of companions compared to the first game? One of the problems with the first game was Ellie (or others) getting in the way and somewhat breaking the immersion of a tense scene.
