Did anybody really ask for a sequel to Nickelodeon Kart Racers? The PlayStation 4 title had potential given the vast catalogue of toons to draw from, but the end result was disappointing. It just wasn't up to scratch, with hardly any characters and zero voice work. Amazingly, it seems a follow-up is around the corner, as an Australian rating and even the box art have found their way online.

Indeed, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix appears to be coming soon, and will presumably be announced soon. The rating doesn't tell us much (other than that the game exists), but a retail listing on Target's website gives us some brief information.

According to the webpage, the sequel is set to include 30 playable characters -- up from the original's 12 -- along with 70 "companion characters", also described as crew members. Judging by this, it seems the sequel will have a much wider representation of Nick's back catalogue. In fact, shows and characters named in the product listing include JoJo Siwa, SpongeBob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy, Hey Arnold, and The Loud House. It also seems the sequel will feature online multiplayer for eight-player races, more tracks, and customisable karts.

We've no indication on a release date, but we'd wager it'll hit PlayStation 4 in 2020. Are you interested in Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix? Prepare to get slimed in the comments section below.
