Looks like Crash is back. Earlier this week, Activision began sending out some sort of Crash Bandicoot related puzzle to influencers. Given this is very similar behaviour to the publisher's actions when announcing games like Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, it's safe to assume some sort of reveal is on the way. It turns out this reveal could bring us an all-new game starring the PS1 platforming hero.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time PS4 PlayStation 4

Taiwanese age rating listings have been discovered for a game entitled Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. That's right: it seems Activision is feeling brave enough to slap a number on this entry after a bajillion adventures since Warped.

The rating brings with it some interesting things. Firstly, there's the box art you can see pictured here, which looks legitimate to us, and reveals the game is being made by Toys for Bob. Secondly is a description, which gives us the setup for the story:

Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.

This explains the mask in the aforementioned jigsaw puzzle -- it must be this new character, Lani-Loli.

Another interesting factoid comes from the listing for the Xbox One version of the same game. If you look at the cover art for this platform, you'll notice it says both Xbox One and Xbox Series X in the upper left. Does this mean Crash 4 is a cross-gen game coming to PlayStation 5? It seems likely.

All this leaked info presumably will be made official in the very near future. But there you have it: Crash is getting a brand new game after all this time. Are you excited to see It's About Time in action? Spin attack into the comments section below.
