Sony is bringing back its official PS4 Tournaments, allowing all PlayStation 4 owners to get in on some competitive gaming. After the Challenger Series last year, the platform holder is hosting the Open Series, involving more varied games and with more incentives to get involved.

As detailed over on the PlayStation Blog, things kick off from 1st June 2020. On this date, tournaments will start in the following games: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, FIFA 20, Mortal Kombat 11, Warface, NBA 2K20, SOULCALIBUR VI, and BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. The tournaments are open to all PS4 players, provided they have PS Plus, and there are multiple chances to win prizes.

Even for just competing in the weekly tournaments, you can come away with something. All players will earn a PS4 Tournaments theme and avatar for playing a tourney, and the more you play, the more you could get. Prizes include more exclusive PS4 themes and avatars the further along you get, while tournament winners will come away with cash prizes.
