As promised, we've just had a brand new trailer for Mortal Kombat 11. The game is getting a big expansion pack named Aftermath, introducing more story, characters, and stages to the brutal fighting game.

Aftermath picks up the narrative from the original game. "Fire God Liu Kang, the new keeper of time and protector of Earthrealm, must now enlist the help of unlikely allies and familiar foes to forge a new history as the fate of two worlds hang in the balance," reads the press release. Most importantly, the expansion adds a bunch of new characters to the playable roster, including Fujin, Sheeva, and... RoboCop. Yes, that's right.

You'll also be getting new character skin packs with Aftermath, while all Mortal Kombat 11 owners are gaining access to some new stages and Friendship fatalities in a free update. It sounds like a pretty hefty expansion, all told.

If you're interested, you don't have long to wait. Aftermath releases on 26th May for $39.99 / £34.99. You can also purchase it along with the previously released Kombat Pack of extra characters for $49.99 / £39.99. If you've yet to dive into MK11, you can buy everything together in the Aftermath Kollection for $59.99 / £49.99.
