How Sony's E3 2015 Press Conference Became the Greatest of All Time Interview 6

Looking back on it, Adam still finds himself filled with immense pride. "I'm still proud of it. Obviously we had a lot of amazing press conferences and PlayStation Experience. You know, coming up with that whole concept and getting it off the ground was fantastic. But there was just so many special things about that year, so many announcements, and we were riding pretty high with the buzz around the PS4. And then being able to make all these fans' dreams come true and being able to watch the reaction videos has been pretty humbling."

And now that The Last Guardian, Shenmue III, and Final Fantasy VII Remake have all finally made it to release, it's those reaction videos which allow us to tap into the excitement at the time all over again. It was the GameTrailers team, now known as Easy Allies, which left the biggest mark as Michael Huber, Kyle Bosman, and Bradley Ellis saw their dreams become a reality in real-time. And immediately after the show, PlayStation employees began to share these reactions and compilations with one another. Adam says that the videos were passed around incessantly.

"It's funny because it's really hard to watch yourself on stage, but when it's everyone's reactions, you know when the first bud comes flying down for the Shenmue reveal. And everyone's like 'What!? Is this it!?' along with Final Fantasy VII Remake's music making them go 'Oh my god!'. It's so neat to watch because that's really the reason we did it. We did it for the fans. And that's the number one thing. That's why I loved my job there so much -- making fans happy with a great show. That was always a big goal."

Everything which can be said about Sony's E3 2015 press conference has already been repeated a thousand times. It has gone down in the history books as one of the greatest showcases in gaming, and we doubt it could ever be truly replicated. A whole host of new, hotly anticipated titles which never seem like they'll see the light of day would have to take their place. As such, we will leave you with a story from behind the scenes. One which encapsulates how much E3 2015 meant to Yu Suzuki.

"I just remember giving Suzuki-San such a big hug afterwards and being so proud of him. And he got really emotional because it was such a special moment. That night was definitely one for the books, that's for sure."
