Larian Studios has made a name for itself in the console space over the past generation with Divinity: Original Sin and its excellent sequel, and the developer looks to be in pole position to replicate that success with Baldurs Gate 3. That's only confirmed to be releasing on PC and Google Stadia at the time of writing, although we've made it quite clear that we're hoping for a PlayStation 5 version in the future. Nevertheless, console players may still have reason to tune in to next month's Guerrilla Collective event when the developer takes to the digital stage.
In response to a fan's question on Twitter, Larian Studios' director of publishing Michael Douse said that there will be a couple of announcements related to the Divinity franchise as well as more information on Baldurs Gate III.
When it comes to Divinity: Original Sin II - Definitive Edition, the RPG has just wrapped up a spree of free content drops on PlayStation 4, so it doesn't look like the studio has moved on from the title completely just yet. Could this be a new expansion to the game? Let's hope so. And while we wouldn't expect a PS5 version of Baldurs Gate 3 to be revealed any time soon, it looks like we'll get a glimpse at some new gameplay next month. It has to come to Sony's next-gen platform at some point, right?
Do we have any Divinity: Original Sin fans here on Push Square? What new content would you like to see? Let us know in the comments below.

100% love Larian and 100% certain bg3 is coming to ps5.
Divinity: Original Sin II was amazing! So looking forward to a new Divinity and that Baldur's Gate 3 reveal looked rather good! Can't wait to see more!!
Can't wait for BG3, I used to love Forgotten Realms, I think I still have all or most of all the books in my study.
Larian did a wonderful job with Divinity 2, so I'm pretty hyped for this one.
I've played more than 150 hours of Original Sin 1 and 2 in local and online multiplayer. Absolutely love these intricate, bizarre and maddening games.
Bought Divinity 2 earlier this week, & quite keen to jump in (once I've finished Kiwami 2) I've heard nothing but good things.
playing the first one now great game.
I really need to get back to DOS2. I really enjoyed it when i began. Ive hardly even scratched its surface.
Option paralysis is TOO REAL. I want to play games so I look at my list and suddenly i feel like i DONT want to play any if these great games lol. What is wrong with meeeee
It's probably the Divinity tactical game that was rumoured - a game focusing on battles rather than story. The other announcement...I have no idea. This and ZA/UM are enough to get me to suffer Greg Miller
It'll be on Stadia very soon for open testing... What do you want this for guys? All those yummy must have exclusives!? Eh?
Well, you can try it for free anyway because Stadia won't cost you anything.
Maybe you'll get a taste and realise shelling out for a console isn't all that necessaey after all...You numpties. 🤣
Man I'm really hoping for Divinity OS 3. The first two games are some of the best ever created. Also they should release the first Original Sin on Switch since they released OS2 for it.
@TrueAssassin86x you're in for a treat
@Ichiban @Athrum Divinity 2 is a different game than Divinity Original Sin 2
@Real_Obsi Nah im good atleast i have more then one too look forward too even with on this old PS4 who is on his last legs. 😆 👌
@Real_Obsi naa I'm good thanks they could get my favorite franchise Grand Theft Auto Exclusive & I would still not bother with it.
