Baldurs Gate 3

Larian Studios has made a name for itself in the console space over the past generation with Divinity: Original Sin and its excellent sequel, and the developer looks to be in pole position to replicate that success with Baldurs Gate 3. That's only confirmed to be releasing on PC and Google Stadia at the time of writing, although we've made it quite clear that we're hoping for a PlayStation 5 version in the future. Nevertheless, console players may still have reason to tune in to next month's Guerrilla Collective event when the developer takes to the digital stage.

In response to a fan's question on Twitter, Larian Studios' director of publishing Michael Douse said that there will be a couple of announcements related to the Divinity franchise as well as more information on Baldurs Gate III.

When it comes to Divinity: Original Sin II - Definitive Edition, the RPG has just wrapped up a spree of free content drops on PlayStation 4, so it doesn't look like the studio has moved on from the title completely just yet. Could this be a new expansion to the game? Let's hope so. And while we wouldn't expect a PS5 version of Baldurs Gate 3 to be revealed any time soon, it looks like we'll get a glimpse at some new gameplay next month. It has to come to Sony's next-gen platform at some point, right?

Do we have any Divinity: Original Sin fans here on Push Square? What new content would you like to see? Let us know in the comments below.
