After its PC release in September 2018, developer and publisher Playmind has revealed that it intends on bringing its debut title The Inner Friend to PlayStation 4 a lot sooner than you might think. It'll be coming to Sony's current-gen console on 28th April 2020, complete with a new alternate ending and priced at $14.99. PlayStation Plus subscribers can even knock 20% off that asking price when it launches.

For those who don't know, The Inner Friend is pitched as an experimental, psychological horror experience where players must navigate the fragmented dreamscape while avoiding monsters who lurk in the shadows. You'll also have to solve puzzles and deal with obstacles along the way. Emmanuel Sevigny, founder and CEO at Playmind, said: "While we are very proud of the accolades The Inner Friend has received, we think the best validation of our work comes from our fans that have allowed us to continue to make games. We can’t wait to welcome another wave of enthusiastic players to our community."

Indeed, the title has a positive overall rating of 8/10 from users on Steam and has even scooped up some awards at GDC, Tokyo Games Show, and the Montreal Indie Games Festival.
