Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered felt like the industry’s worst kept secret when it “shadow dropped” on the PlayStation 4 earlier this year, and it sounds like Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered may not be far behind. Reliable leaker TheGamingRevolution reports that the re-release is actually already finished, and Activision is just waiting for the opportune moment to deploy it.
Considering that we heard about Modern Warfare 2 years before it arrived, we reckon this is plausible. According to the aforementioned source, both titles were supposed to launch prior to Infinity Ward’s 2019 Modern Warfare reboot, but a shooting in Dallas scuppered the publisher’s plans and pushed both titles back.
There’s no date attached to the purported port of Modern Warfare 3 just yet, but TheGamingRevolution claims that it’ll arrive on the PS4 first, as Activision and Sony signed a timed exclusivity deal for the first-person shooters. Assuming this is all accurate, we can’t imagine you’ll be waiting too long for the title to arrive; the publisher will want to get these out before it starts the promotional cycle for the next Call of Duty game.

All good news in these unsertain times. I'll definately want to play this remastered.
I doubt they'll do that when they've released MW2 Remastered for £20 last month it would be stupid to do the mistake they did with Advanced Warfare

need multiplayer and trophy support too... just makes it more interesting to play and earn something with it too I guess
Please for the love of god include MP. The majority (not all but majority) of cod fans are in it for the MP. I was super bummed mw2 was only the campaign. For me theres no point in getting it.
Modern Warfare 3 is the only one i don't care if it doesn't have multiplayer.
I just want that Modern Warfare 2 one.
@GoodGame @djape @Gmork___ Activision learned their lesson with MWR having multiplayer and Infinite Warfare at the same time. They don't want to repeat that mistake with the current Modern Warfare hence no multiplayer for MW2R or MW3R. They don't want to split the player base.
Why didn't they just wait and release a bundle with all 3 games and a multiplayer mode with all the classic maps

@Genrou then why not just add the MW Reboot MP mode with the remasters then everyone would be playing the same one
They should release remasters of each MW as standalone DLC for the current MW game (like warzone) that way we get to revisit the MP but it doesn't take away from their current game.
I can only imagine theyre losing out on SO many sales due to lacking the MP

@FullbringIchigo They are adding maps from MW2 to the current MW but they are redesigned for this year's MW.
@Xnx_gaming Because contrary to what people believe this year did change up the formula. You can see that on alot of CoD YouTubers videos especially ones who have been playing for years.
@Gmork___ because it would still split the player base and Activision doesn't want what happened with Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered. Even if they included the original MW2 MP as a mode like Warzone it would still split the player base because it plays differently then the current MW. Instead they redesigned some maps from MW2 and added them to the rotation of MW 2019.
Ok... Ive got it. It wont be authentic but they should release ALL the oldschool maps as an oldschool map pack for the new current MW multiplayer.
Id be STOKED!
