How to Beat Yatsu-no-Kami in Nioh 2 PS4 Guide

How do you beat Yatsu-no-Kami in Nioh 2? How do you kill the boss in The Viper's Sanctum mission? You've reached the end of the third main mission and this serpent-like demon is probably the most extravaganet enemy you've faced yet. It looks rather cool, but we're here to kill it. Here's how you beat Yatsu-no-Kami in Nioh 2.

How to Beat Yatsu-no-Kami in Nioh 2

Recommended level - 27

Yastu-no-Kami takes inspiration of the Medusa-like enemies you've been fighting throughout The Viper's Sanctum mission. It starts off the fight with a main head and two minor faces on either side, but you'll want to begin the battle by targetting its body. Basic attacks consist of swipes with its tails, poison daggers, lunges which can be Burst Countered, and the ability to make snakes shoot up from the ground. They're all fairly easy to dodge or run away from, so start off by chipping away at Yatsu-no-Kami's health bar when an opening appears. That'll happen fairly often, allowing you to position yourself in a good place for the rest of the fight.

It all changes once you enter the Dark Realm, however. The two snakes attached to the boss' main body detach themselves and start fighting you, meaning that you've got three different enemies to think about. We strongly recommend not locking on to any of the snakes -- rather running about the battlefield and chipping away at their health bars as and when you can. The two smaller snakes are fairly weak, taking roughly two combos to finish off, so make them your main priority. Once they're done with and the Dark Realm disappears, two more snakes will spawn upon Yatsu-no-Kami's body. Unfortunately, there's no way to get rid of them for good.

Rinse and repeat the same tactics you've been employing of rushing up on the demon when it spawns snakes out of the ground and using the Burst Counter when you can and this boss fight will be over and done with in no time at all. If you want to speed things up, however, Yatsu-no-Kami is very weak to fire. Therefore, try and go into the fight with some Fire Amulets equipped or the Infernal Oni-bi Soul Corse so that you can set your weapon on fire and begin to decimate its health bar. Play it safe, wait for openings, and take advantage of its weakness to fire -- Yatsu-no-Kami will be no more in a matter of minutes.
