What do you do when you can't make a game about Harry Potter's broom-based sport, Quidditch? Make a different broom-based sport, of course -- and dollop on some Rocket League while you're at it. Blue Isle Studios does just this with Broomstick League, an arcadey sports game coming soon to PlayStation 4.

As you can see in the above trailer, the game focuses on just one ball, and pits two teams of three witches and wizards against each other in simple competitive matches. The twist is that each player can also cast a handful of spells while zooming around on their Nimbus 2000, enabling you to knock the ball away from opponents or briefly teleport to intercept a shot, for example. It seems you'll also be able to customise the look of your magical avatar with new brooms, outfits, and emotes.

If this controls well, it could be a fun game to play with your Potter-mad pals. What do you think of Broomstick League? Slytherin to the comments below.
