Update: Ubisoft has now officially revealed The Division 2: Warlords of New York. It's a new narrative-focused expansion which takes players back to New York, and you can get an in-depth look at it all in a 10 minute developer walkthrough above. There is no word just yet on a release date, but it'll cost $30.
Original story: Another day brings with it another leak. Long before a live stream was set to unveil what's next for Ubisoft's The Division 2, the slice of downloadable content has already been scrubbed from the Xbox API -- giving us a whole load of information to glean over. The expansion will be titled Warlords of New York and could launch as soon as 3rd March 2020, signalling the return to the original game's setting.
As posted on Reddit, the expansion will feature an all-new story set in New York with a revamped progression system which raises the level cap to 40. There'll be more gear, exotic weapons and armour, and an extended endgame which is said to evolve across three-month seasons.
New York is under threat. Aaron Keener, a former Division Agent turned rogue, has taken control of Lower Manhattan, backed by four devoted and highly skilled lieutenants. Trained by The Division but disavowing its ideals, they are now the highest authority in town and the most formidable force the Agents have ever faced.
This is very much looking like a paid expansion to The Division 2, with the likes of an Ultimate Edition and pre-order bonuses already spotted. For more information, make sure you tune into the publisher's livestream later today at 11am PST/2pm EST/7pm GMT. Does this piece of DLC interest you? Let us know in the comments below.

Not sure if this will be a paid DLC. Game is $2 at gamestop right now. And their first season was free. Not sure how well paid content will be and with the paid micro transaction on top of it.
If it is paid, it better be damn good and damn big.
Didn't they say all the content would be free?
@Athrum For the first year, yes. This DLC is part of the second year.
@LiamCroft Thank you. So this will probably be their "Taken King", since it has more seasons like you wrote in the article.
Ok, I'm mildly interested.
Right now you can get Division 2 at GameStop for $5 brand new or on MS Store for $2. Such a great deal and perfect for anyone on the fence still about this game.
The Twitter account 'Can you pet the dog' will be pleased.
FYI it’s released 3 March. Episode 3 of the year 1 DLC releases tomorrow, 12 February. This is free and apparently leads into Warlords of New York.
I haven’t played Division 2 in ages...time to jump back in I think!
I almost got this then I saw it was online only. So no.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Standard Edition is currently $2.99 on the US ps store.
Think I might jump back into The Division 2, really loved the gameplay, especially the AI was on another level, the story was a bit meh though so hopefully this new dlc improves on that.
I'll jump back in no doubt.
i abandoned the division 2, for no particular reason. The game was really good. I will jump back to it soon to at least finish the campaing
I’m in. This game is amazing.
This is a ripoff. People with the season pass have also to pay for this. And the season pass, in terms of content, was really bad.. For me this is the end of this game...
