Update: Ubisoft has now officially revealed The Division 2: Warlords of New York. It's a new narrative-focused expansion which takes players back to New York, and you can get an in-depth look at it all in a 10 minute developer walkthrough above. There is no word just yet on a release date, but it'll cost $30.

Original story: Another day brings with it another leak. Long before a live stream was set to unveil what's next for Ubisoft's The Division 2, the slice of downloadable content has already been scrubbed from the Xbox API -- giving us a whole load of information to glean over. The expansion will be titled Warlords of New York and could launch as soon as 3rd March 2020, signalling the return to the original game's setting.

As posted on Reddit, the expansion will feature an all-new story set in New York with a revamped progression system which raises the level cap to 40. There'll be more gear, exotic weapons and armour, and an extended endgame which is said to evolve across three-month seasons.

New York is under threat. Aaron Keener, a former Division Agent turned rogue, has taken control of Lower Manhattan, backed by four devoted and highly skilled lieutenants. Trained by The Division but disavowing its ideals, they are now the highest authority in town and the most formidable force the Agents have ever faced.

This is very much looking like a paid expansion to The Division 2, with the likes of an Ultimate Edition and pre-order bonuses already spotted. For more information, make sure you tune into the publisher's livestream later today at 11am PST/2pm EST/7pm GMT. Does this piece of DLC interest you? Let us know in the comments below.
