I misread the title as "Kefta". Now I'm hungry.
And as everyone said, it seems half the characters are versions of Goku.

Cool that they added Kefla.

The character select re-work looks really good as well.

Still would like to get this game someday. Just not keen on paying $85 for season pass characters. Gonna wait for a big discount for all of them before buying.

@WanderingBullet Local stores sell the base game for $20. Maybe you should see if you like the base game first before you wait that long.

@Akurusu Yes, I like the game. I've played the beta but I'm also a casual player when it comes to fighting games. That being said, I like the option of being able to play or try every character in the game.

Why wasnt this game called Dragonball Z Kakarot? How many Gokus do you need lol

I really like Kefla, but honestly I wanted so see separate versions of the girls as well. Still hoping for that....and Master Roshi.

@AdamNovice first off Goku Black isn't Goku, it's Zamasu so it doesn't count and Vegito and Gogeta don't count wither, they may be made up of Goku and Vegeta but they are unique characters and if they count as a Goku then they also count as a Vegeta too

all in all there are currently 4 Goku's in the game BUT there are also 3 Vegeta's, 2 Gohan's and 2 Broly's yet people only moan about how many Goku's there are

it's almost as if he is the main character of the franchise or something?

on a side note if the game actually had a transformation system like other Dragon Ball games do then there wouldn't be a need for multiple versions of the same character taking up slots, they should do what Budokai Tenkaichi 3 did and have all the different versions of characters take up one slot but be selectable before battle so basically there is only one Goku slot but when you click on him you get to chose which version you want to play as

How do they justify an even playing field with base Goku vs instinct? Surely it would make more sense to have these as customisable power-ups?

But I I agree about having it Tenkaichi style with the slots, that way more people can fit and we have more options.

I'll just post what I did on NL (for refrence, whenever new characters are revealed for this, there is a group of people who bring up their desire for Ribrianne, the leader of that stupid magical girl parody group participating in the Tournament of Power, over on NL). Anyways, here's what I wrote.

I've seen quite a few people request Ribrianne over the course of these character reveals, and I can't help but wonder why she's so popular. So many of the Tournament of Power characters are either stupidy silly (Ribrianne & her pals, the merging robots) or generic to a fault (the wolf furries, the bionic commando looking dude, that purple rabbit guy who looks like they just slightly altered Beerus' design).

Too many of them come off as the kind of unimportant mooks you'd see get knocked out of the preliminaries in one of Dragon Ball's early tournament arcs (coming up with 60 or so new characters for the tournament was a big ask, and I think it shows in their overall low quality).

I'd personally like to see King Piccolo, Teen Bulma, Dabura, and for a real curve ball throw in Moro (the villain from the current Dragon Ball Super arc that hasn't been animated yet, but is definitely it's best so far).

@RR529 they should add Chi-Chi as a playable fighter as she fought in the World Martial Arts Tournament once

and maybe some original Dragon Ball characters after all with the battle system this game has flying doesn't really come into it so it would be fine having characters that can't fly such as Master Roshi, Tao Pai Pai, Eighter, Nam and Grandpa Gohan

i would even like to see Mr Satan (so glad they went back to that name in the games, the uncut anime always used it)
