Fans of classic PlayStation 2 era platformers may be excited to learn that Ty the Tasmanian Tiger’s crowdfunded remaster will double-jump to the PlayStation 4 later this year. It’ll first roar to the Nintendo Switch on 31st March but will slink its way to Sony’s system “as soon as possible” thereafter. It seems that developer Krome is approaching things one console at a time.
For those of you who don’t know, the original Ty launched in 2002 on the PS2, and spawned all kinds of sequels. The remaster was funded on Kickstarter, and smashed past its target within three days, before going on to accrue over $132,000. Are there any other last-last-gen platformers you’d like to see make a comeback? Let us know in the comments below.

My friend is a big Ty fan. I've watched his LP of the game.
I never played it, but this looks like the perfect opportunity to give the game a try. I miss PS2 platformers.

Cool there was another PS2 game I remember playing but I can't for the life of me remember the name. You played a kid character with a Z shaped hair style and has a sword I think with a ribbon round it and you had a Japanese hamster as a master it was like an open world ish platform hack and slash
NO WAY!!! This was one of my favorites! I play this so much, thinking there was hidden/secret boomerangs That didn’t actually exist.
I like to see Rayman M remaster with all of the Characters like Dark Globox and Glotbette.

Even with how clunky it was, I loved the ty game I played. Will definitely pick this up even if my opinion of it might change with the times.
