20XX was a bit of a cult hit, bringing Mega Man-inspired roguelike gameplay to the PlayStation 4 a few years ago. And now it’s getting a Mega Man X-esque sequel in the form of the aptly named 30XX, which promises more of the same brand of side-scrolling action. As in its predecessor and titles like Dead Cells, dying will whisk you back to the beginning of devilishly difficult levels.
We must admit, we’re much fonder of the pixelated art direction than the previous style. While the title will be playable at PAX East 2020 later in the month, it won’t release until 2021, where it’ll probably be available on the PlayStation 5, either natively or through backwards compatibility.

I’ve always wanted to play 20xx but haven’t seen any good sales...
I'd love it if it wasn't a rogue.
Same. Loving the Mega Man similarities, but rogue gameplay is also a turn off for me. :/
