One small positive to take from all the recent PlayStation 4 game delays is that we're going to have so much more time for Persona 5 Royal, and developer ATLUS is doing a good job of pushing that point as its marketing cycle for the Western market kicks into gear. What we have here is a new trailer for the game featuring old footage alongside its English localisation.
If you haven't already met the Phantom Thieves, the trailer does a good job of introducing the title's protagonist Joker and a whole host of friends who will aid you throughout the 100+ hour experience. And even if you have already been on that journey, it's always a fun time getting reacquainted with old friends. Don't forget that Persona 5 Royal comes to PS4 on 31st March 2020.

Just preorder the launch steelbook edition on amazon since unlike persona 5, my local store didn't have persona 5 royal region 1 steelcase edition
It's really annoying saves between region is incompatible since sometimes I like to buy the digital version of games even though I already have the game on disc (if there's a good discount on psn).
I put a pre-order down on the Steelbook version months ago as I absolutely LOVED the original but now I'm thinking is it worth replaying a second time just for a new character and a few extra hours content when Persona 5 Scramble obviously is a sequel to the original rather than Royal?
That is interesting. Watching the trailer, I noticed the newbie does not appear to have a code name. I wonder if that is because we have not seen the character before (from previous P5 media) so they are keeping it a secret, or if there is a plot reason as to the lack of code name.
How much extra content is it,as 3 and 4 had quite a bit but this seems a lot less
@suikoden It has a whole new Semester that you can play, more confidants and characters, new dungeons and overworld locations
I need to clear my backlog for this one. I was about to buy P5 when this one was announced and I am eager to play it.
@Wazeddie22 It has way more then that:
"It's an expanded version of the game with a whole host of new story and side content, including an entire school semester, more confidants and characters, new dungeons and overworld locations, and a grappling hook to bring into dungeons. "
@Wazeddie22 royal has a lot more than just a few hours of new content
I have the Phantom Thieves edition on order.
I may wait on actually playing through Royal since I'm playing through the base game now and might try to go for the platinum trophy.
For anyone in the uk ordering the standard steelbook edition, its ten pounds cheaper from shopto.net than Amazon. Ive got my copy preordered there and have used shopto for years. They are legit.

I'm excited for this, but won't play it straight away. I only played the original Persona 5 about a year ago, and there's plenty of other Persona games that I haven't played at all, so Persona 5 Royal can wait.
@dark_knightmare2 @IonMagus Well yeah,ok then ALOT more than a few hours content but the main story is still the same isant it?
What the hell I'll be keeping my pre order anyway,it's Persona..anything to support the franchise.
It's more than just a longer story.
Unless I'm having a brain cramp, there's also going to be a customizable area where you can also review previously seen set pieces. "Thieves' Den," I think they're calling it?
New part of town with mini-games that affect the principal cast; Caroline and Justine step outside the Velvet Room; grappling hooks; there's a LOT.
I'm not sure if the Den will have, for lack of a better expression, "display space" for the different Shadows from the Compendium, but if so, that would be wicked-cool, too. You could, in theory, put together quite a virtual temple for some of the larger mythologies.
