Final Fantasy VII Remake isn't due to release for another three months, but it might already be time to go on a social media blackout. The currently unreleased PlayStation 4 demo for the game has been datamined, serving up big spoilers along the way.
We're not going to detail what has been uncovered in this article, although this scribe alone has already caught a glimpse of one or two images he'd rather not have purely by researching the topic alone. Unfinished screenshots seem to form the basis of these leaks, but eager fans are already starting to piece together their relevance. What you need to know is that if you want Final Fantasy VII Remake to be a fresh experience and one that still manages to surprise with the new content which expands Midgar, make sure you're careful over the coming months. YouTube thumbnails are notorious for spoilers especially.

Are these spoilers beyond what a Final Fantasy VII veteran would already know?
Other than uncovering more of the amazing new coat of paint and polish, I just don't see what could really be spoiled for someone who has done the Midgar area more times than should be admitted.

lets just say after seeing the leaked images im no longer concerned about not having certain characterz in the game.
@GamingFan4Lyf It seems they changed some stuff at the end of act 1 from what I saw on the screenshots.
Plenty of people are actively assuming everyone has played the game and are spoiling key moments left right and centre anyway 🤷♂️
Unlikely I’ll be able to avoid all this since I watch YouTube a lot on my TV and can’t avoid the thumbnails.
It's wrong to assume everyone has played the original (or else knows what happens anyway), because given the age of the game there are now a whole generation of gamers who haven't played it or may have never even played a Final Fantasy title.

@Athrum I figured some changes were necessary to break up the whole game into pieces, yet still give the player a sense of closure.
The fact that 5 - 7 hours worth of the original game is being stretched into a full-blown game is an impressive amount of meat to add.
I guess I will go ahead and leave the leak alone. While I already know WHAT happens in Final Fantasy VII, I don't want HOW Square Enix gets through the plot in the remake to be spoiled - if that makes sense.
Nobody spoil it for me but have they confirmed whether Squall is in this or not yet

I'm a sucker and had to look so for those asking, if you've played the original, there is nothing here that it will spoil for you story-wise. There are a lot of pictures of the wall market segment and a few characters from the OG that have not been showed off yet/revealed to be in the game. All these characters are from the Midgar section of the original game.
Also...some shots look really rough and are clearly unfinished. What a catastrophic leak! I'm sure it's a super kick to the developers' gonads.
March 3rd release would be 2 months away not 3. Don’t extend my time to wait to play this gem!!! lol.

That's why it made me think a lot of this is just made up?? A lot of it looks like really bad photoshop markups. I'm not that fussed anyways, I quickly looked at the screenshots but nothing else.

@kiki3400 Holy mother! Only 8 weeks?? I could not be more excited. And I had not considered the possibility of some of them being fake! That would make sense now that I think about it since there were for sure some stuff in the pictures that looked off...more than just with early development. I was also curious how a datamined demo of the first hour could uncover stuff from the entire game. Hmmm......

@kyleforrester87 I know people can be real ***holes. I was playing MGS2 so nice when someone tells the ending or mayor plot points...
