Here's a blast from the past. Alien Hominid was originally a Newgrounds browser game that grew popular in the early 2000s, to the point it received console versions. This became Alien Hominid HD on Xbox 360 in 2007, and developer The Behemoth would go on to find more success with games like Castle Crashers. The studio has just announced its latest project, and it's going right back to its roots.

Alien Hominid Invasion is a "reimagining of the original Alien Hominid HD". There's not a ton of information, but the team has promised "completely new gameplay, progression, mechanics, and so much more". In terms of platforms, PlayStation 4 isn't specified, but we would expect this to release on all major machines.

It will be very interesting to play an up to date version of this cartoonish run and gunner. The game will be demoed at PAX East and EGX Rezzed a little later in the year, so you might be able to get your hands on it fairly soon. Are you excited for Alien Hominid Invasion? Do you have fond memories of the original game? Blast away the FBI in the comments below.
