First red flag - thinking EA has the good in their hearts to release the trilogy together instead of separately lol.

This won't be a proper remaster, I imagine it will be a graphic tweak and a bundle with zero gameplay changes. Would love to be wrong though!

I would get it. I’ve always been a bit surprised that it wasn’t ported early in this generation.

lately i have been thinking of trying to get the trilogy for the ps3. so i hope this is true, then i will pick it up for the ps4 instead.

Ready to have my heart broken again lol! Tried playing them on PC but I just can't wrap my head around mouse/KB controls and didn't want the hassle of modding. Would love to go thru these again from start to finish

it's a remaster of ME2 and ME3's multiplayer modes packaged together and launched as Mass Effect: Anthem.

they'd need a remake, not a remaster, at this stage.. the UE3 engine is starting to show its age quite a bit.

I don't want them tweaked or altered at all, beyond visuals and framerate and whatnot. They're perfect just the way they are.

Restore the dialogue recorded for MaleShep in the first game, so that he can romance Kaidan. It's already in the game's code, BioWare just bottled it at the last minute, so do the decent thing and ensure I'm not forced to remain single until Mass Effect 3, please.

Otherwise, don't change a thing.

@johncalmc I would rather the opposite - modifying 2 and 3 to play more like the seemingly "seamless" RPG experience of the original.

No more ammo, no more "mission complete" screens with a score, and return character gear customization to the original version.

Also, story sections, exploration, and combat sections all flowed together more naturally in the first game, in my opinion. Mass Effect 2 had clear separations that made if feel more "gamey" - if that makes any sense.

Travelling across desolate hilly terrain to complete quests. Those mako sections is where Kojima got the idea for Death Stranding.

Would play the hell out of a ME trilogu remaster!

I actually kind of like the shooting mechanics of the first Mass Effect, you could even holster your weapons! That moon base mission with the AI still haunts me, though.
Also, I thought the character creation was the best in ME1, along with the story, RPG mechanics and dialogue choices. I bloody love that game.

Remaster Dragon Age 1 and I'm interested.

It's unlikely and will probably be underwhelming if it does happen. But I know damn well I'll buy it either way. My dream would be if Bluepoint got to remake the whole trilogy. Ah, if only.

I will cry if this finally happens. Literally the only trilogy remaster besides uncharted that I wanted.

If it comes out, it had better come with all the DLC. I've already bought the DLC twice 'cos I had on 360 originally but got them again when they were cheap on Origin. I even tried reading one of the novels but it was awful.

@RogerRoger i don't romance either anymore, they are both pretty poor characters compared to many others from 2 and 3

@redd214 I Hate modding games because of all the hassle but for Mass Effect 1 there is a quick install file (easy to find with Google) that changes all the layout of the game to X-Box controller prompts.

This is one of those games I've never played and have no idea why not as a huge RPG fan. Hopefully the remake does come one day and I can play them all

@ShogunRok Mako exploration was fine in and of itself. The problem was that every planet was the same empty desert with, like, one enemy base on it. The planet-hopping itself was a great idea, it just needed to be executed better.

But yes, the resource scanning in ME2 needs to go.

@johncalmc I'd be fine with that so long as they maintained the RPG depth (especially the classes, which are actually extremely distinct and lead to vastly different playthroughs in the first game), extensive customization, and wider level design of the first game. There's a reason it's still my favorite.

@A_Weiss Ditto. As an RPG, it's the best of the bunch, and on par with some of Bioware's best efforts, imo.

seriously the reason they havent done it yet they cant figure out how get loot boxes in it

@FullbringIchigo I actually quite liked Steve in Mass Effect 3, but he was too late to the game for any connection to feel earned. Kaidan's romance arc works pretty well as-is (crewmate and friend to begin with, trust shaken in the middle, but then admits feelings in the end) but it's the principle of the thing, y'know?

Especially when player choice and immersion is such a big deal. I had to create a FemShep and replay the first two games, just to get their respective romance trophies. It was a hollow, frustrating experience to say the least.

Not that Andromeda was any better in that department, mind, but at least they were able to patch that oversight.

That's all I'm asking for. Wouldn't take much effort at all.

Update ME1 gameplay to more like ME2/3, give us every bit of DLC they made for them included and try to hit that 60fps as well as dropping the MP for ME3 and i'm happy. Won't happen its EA but i can dream.

@WallyWest Dropping the multiplayer for Mass effect 3 would be a mistake. It's one of the best things about that game.

wow all for the money and not love of games. It's not rocket science fans just want all 3 original mass effect's remastered with complete editions everything included.
But knowing ea they would remake them plastering loot box's and micro transactions and milk as much as they could out of the series.
Also gwad knows why they haven't made Skate 4 fans have been screaming for it and with people steaming skate 3 they could have had a lot of sales but the moment has long gone past now.
Do they know there fan base do they know what gamers like and want ? or is it all about how much money we know best attitude.

You are writing about Bioware, but word is that EA is planning a remaster of Mass Effect as well as Battlefield Bad Company 2. Us this a dud too?

@RogerRoger If anything needs to be changed, it’s the awful combat in the first one. I don’t think could play through it again unless they got rid of the entire system from ME1. Also, options can be too good/evil instead of actual of paragon/renegade, that could be changed as well.

Wellp, there's now a tweet of a remastered main title and an accompanying video of the intro to the first game, tweeted by the official account. Literally just started playing the trilogy pack for the first time on Ps3 and bought all DLC so might hold off on it for a while, if it turns out to be true.
