Ghost Games has today released a fresh patch for Need for Speed Heat on PlayStation 4. Taking the game to version 1.03, this update makes some pretty decent improvements to the overall experience. You can download the patch right now -- it's just over 2GB in size.
But what does it do? One thing it aims to address is long loading times during night races. The visual effects on night race intros have been reduced as a short term fix while Ghost Games figures out a better long term solution. Elsewhere, various scenarios which might crash the game have been addressed with this update, which is definitely appreciated.
There are a few other bug fixes too, which you can read about on the Need for Speed subreddit. Are you still enjoying Need for Speed Heat on PS4? Have you run into any issues? Hit the gas in the comments below.

I’ve had 2 hard crashes so far, where I’ve had to actually hold down the console’s power button then reboot in safe mode. Hopefully that’s the last of ‘em. Other than that I’m really enjoying the game.
Had about 10 hours on it with only one soft crash. Pro with SSD
Really good fun
Only one crash but for the first time I didn't report it, not only did it take quite a few minutes to generate the report it ended up being a 2.75GB upload. Just wanted to get back to playing.
Yeah, this hard crashed my PS4 within the first 2 hours and haven't been back to it since. Been waiting for this patch so I'm going to jump back in soon.
Ive played on patch 1.02 and no crashes, outside of the car itself. Maybe this will improve texture loading, which I did notice was slow on occasion...
