Horizon: Zero Dawn and Monster Hunter: World are pretty different games, but they both have one thing in common -- huge, exciting battles against gigantic creatures. It's no wonder that Aloy is returning to Capcom's best-slaying RPG in a brand new crossover event. From today, Iceborne players will be able to play a brand new event quest and unlock some cool Horizon-themed gear.
The first quest in a "multi-part crossover" is called Into the Frozen Wilds, and gives hunters the chance to craft the Stormslinger Prototype, a new Light Bowgun based on Aloy's weapon in the Horizon expansion. You'll face off against a Zinogre in Hoarfrost Reach, and you'll need to be Hunter Rank 24 or above to stand a chance. Completing the quest will also reward you with a weapon pendant fashioned after Aloy's Focus device. The quest is available from now until 10th January, so there's lots of time to give it a shot.

Can't get enough of MHW Iceborne. Since it come out, it's all I've played. My backlog is growing 🤣 I just hope this weapon is better than the CB that was in the last update.
I've got ice borne but I just cant get in to it. Only played the game for a few hours and got to the 2nd area where the huge rock creature is. I'd love to co OP it with someone but none of my mates have it.
Weapon isn't great but the Pendent is pretty sweet.

@Kidfunkadelic83 Question have you redeemed the Guardian armour from your room? You get it by talking to your housekeeper in your room and claiming add-on content.
The armour is basically something Capcom gave out so new players can get to Iceborne quicker, you don't need Iceborne to claim it either as its free for everyone. Its a really good armour for new players and should make most of the main quest easier to play. Next month they are adding "Defender Weapons" for everyone what is basically the same thing as the armour but for weapons instead so that should help you a lot as well.
@WallyWest I actually dont know. I do know that I'm wearing bone armour now and it looks bad ass.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I would check, its really good armour and could be described as "easy mode" for most of the story.

Was hoping for a more Witcher like type of quest, but this'll do. We'll be getting a new monster in december so it's all good.

Any idea if crossover content returns at another date? Because i just dont have the time too play it all.
@Flaming_Kaiser all events usually return during the seasonal events. The winter one will be up soon but not sure if these new events will return so soon. They'll definitely return, it just might be a while.
@BertMan666 Thanks i did not remember if they returned. Somehow these things make me play a game less i dont like too be pressured in playing certain times. Made me sell Overwatch and of course the lootboxes for it too. And i have seen the MHW microtransactions page damn so much.
@Flaming_Kaiser to be fair none of the content is that good. They won't be replacing any of my gear in my meta builds. The pendants are decent and the Resident Evil stuff for your home is pretty sweet but the weapons are just there to be crafted really. I wouldn't worry about it.
@BertMan666 Thanks i found the Witcher mission so boring and hard i just gave up and not even a Ciri costume. 😩
@Flaming_Kaiser I still haven't done the Witcher quest after nearly 500hrs 🤣🤣 I don't like being forced to use other gear. I've got the Ciri layered armour because you can use gold prints to craft a Mutagen so you can just do that to get her and Geralts armour if you wish. Easy.
@BertMan666 Crap i need to get that. I just like too get the layered just too have it. You its like a tic i need to get everything. 😆
@Flaming_Kaiser I love the layered armours. They've started adding all the high rank armours but stopped at Odogaron's 🤣 such a tease. They know that's the one everyone wants 🤣 they'll be adding the rest soon.
