Death Stranding: What to Do in the Private Room

What can you do in private rooms in Death Stranding and Death Stranding Director's Cut? What is there to do in Death Stranding's safe houses? Sam Porter Bridges needs somewhere to rest after a particularly tough delivery, and the private room is the perfect place to get some sleep. As part of our Death Stranding guide, here's everything you can do in Death Stranding's private rooms.

What to Do in Death Stranding's Private Rooms

We're going to explain every interaction available in Sam's private room. Working from his left:

Examine Figures

You can look at the figures on Sam's shelf beside his bed. They let you replay past cutscenes, and revisit certain gameplay sequences and boss battles.

Use Sink

At the sink, you can have Sam perform various actions and take photos. It's kind of pointless, but it's a bit of silly fun to wind down with between missions.

Take a Shower

Sam gets real messy out on the road, especially after encounters with BTs. Have him take a shower to freshen him up. This also produces EX Grenade no. 0, which are then stored in your private locker.

Use Toilet (Standing)

Sam goes to the lavatory for a number one, and produces EX Grenade no. 1. This is then stored in your private locker.

Use Toilet (Sitting)

Sam sits on the throne for a number two, and produces EX Grenade no. 2. This is then stored in your private locker.

Fragile Jump

Have Fragile visit you and transport you to another safe house. This is your fast travel option, allowing you to move across the game's map via any other safe house or distribution center you've discovered.

Examine Weapon Rack

This allows you to get a close up of any weapons you have stored.

Check on BB

Sam's BB is hanging out on the back wall. Head on over to your Bridge Baby and soothe them.

Examine Equipment Rack

Examine Sam's suit and other accessories. You can change the colour scheme of his suit as well as his baseball cap and more.

Customise Backpack

Allows you to add equipment and accessories to your backpack, as well as change its colour scheme.

Examine Table

On the table are a few things you can interact with. Put on a Bridges cap or sunglasses, drink a beer or an energy drink, or eat a Cryptobiote.

Activate Terminal

Check on your orders, mail, data, supply requests, and bridge links. You can also save your game here. This is the same menu you get when you press left from the map screen when you're out in the world.
