How do you kill BTs in Death Stranding? While it may be fairly obvious how you go about dealing with the human enemies of Death Stranding, Mules, it's a whole different ball game when it comes to BTs. Here's how you kill BTs in Death Stranding.
How to Kill BTs in Death Stranding
In the early game of Death Stranding, Hematic Grenades are going to be your best friend. If you detect a BT in the vicinity and you know its exact location, you can take it out instantly by throwing a Hematic Grenade at it. This clears a path for you to progress through, but what about when you alert it to your presence? The next stage sees human-like, black, gooey figures attempt to pull you down into the depths. You can easily escape their grasp by mashing the square button, but yet another Hematic Grenade also does the trick if you can access your inventory.
If you trigger the boss fight, however, then you may need more than just explosives to take down the monstrous creature that spawns. Hematic Grenades will continue to be of great use, but any weapon that uses Sam's blood as a resource is now going to come into play. Assault rifles deal great damage in a short space of time, while shotguns are excellent if you get up close and personal. As you progress through the game, the likes of grenade and rocket launchers will make these fights somewhat easier as you slice a BTs health in half with just a few blows.
