A new month means a new Grand Prix in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. As you may have guessed, October's Spooky seasonal content revolves around Hallowe'en, bringing a batch of creepy new vehicles, characters, and more to the evolving kart racer.
The new track is called Nina's Nightmare, and as you can see in the above video, has all kinds of spooky goings-on. Jack-o-lanterns at every turn, a haunted house, and spooky woods? It's October alright. New characters you'll be able to unlock are Nina Cortex, Dr. N. Brio, and Komodo Moe, and there are plenty of karts, stickers, character skins, and more to earn throughout the month.
In addition to the Spooky Grand Prix's usual raft of challenges and content, Beenox has been busy adding in some new tweaks to Nitro-Fueled. You can now choose whatever driving style you like with any character. If you love using Crash but wish he had Coco's stats, for example, you can now make that happen. The double Wumpa Coin weekend bonus now applies to all game modes, not just online racing. Finally, AI drivers in online races won't use the Warp Orb or Clock power-ups any more, which should reduce the number of times you see them.
It seems Beenox is committed to making Nitro-Fueled as good as it can be. While the microtransactions are questionable at best, the developer has added a lot to the game over the months. Are you still playing CTR on PS4? Will you be taking part in the Spooky Grand Prix? Trick or treat in the comments below.

Dr N Brio was my most wanted character. I'll be sure to unlock him along with the other two. The new track looks fun and wacky, so I'm eager to give it a go.
The double coins on the weekend should make the single player slightly less grindy, but it'll still be tedious. I'll continue to only spend the coins on new characters, as I don't have enough coins to get the fun cosmetic items.
Yes still enjoying this game. The option to change the character's stats is a bonus.
The changes this patch brought are so so good. Being able to switch the style of any character is such a great change.
