The moon is haunted in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, and now it looks like Mars is getting in on the action too. Moons of Madness, from developer Rock Pocket Games, is coming to PlayStation 4 on 21st January 2020. And if the reveal trailer above is anything to go by, this is going to be one spooky affair.

It sounds a bit like a mash-up of SOMA and the upcoming Astroneer. You'll have to explore the surface of Mars, solve puzzles, and hide from the threats that inhabit the planet. Your most important goal is to survive, states PR manager Eirik Nergard.

You play as Shane Newehart, engineer on a research facility built by The Orochi Group on Mars. After awaking from a disconcerting dream, you go about your daily routines, mostly trying to correct all the many things that tend to go awry on a base 140 million miles away from the nearest convenience store.

As your day progresses, however, several things start going wrong and your dream starts to seem more and more like a premonition of the nightmare that lies ahead. You’re going to have to figure out what’s going on, as you delve deeper and deeper into a world of horror, conspiracy, betrayal and delusion.

Pre-orders for the game go live in less than two weeks on 22nd October, and doing so will net you a digital copy of The Park. A price has not been confirmed yet, however. Are you interested in Moons of Madness? Get creepy in the comments below.
