At under two minutes in length, this new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order trailer is short but sweet. It's a story focused, mostly cinematic cut that does a good job of making main character Cal's quest seem fittingly epic. For our money, it's the best trailer the game's had up to this point.
With so much buzz around all the games coming out early next year, it's surprisingly easy to forget that 2019 still has a few blockbusters on the horizon. But are you looking forward to Star Wars Jedi? Make your best lightsaber noise in the comments section below.

Looks a lot better than the earlier demos, glad they've been polishing!
This game looks amazing.first stars wars game that. Im hyped for.gameplay story.especialy the graphics are amazing.word up son
Looks damn good! Wont be getting it at release but definitely on the wish list!
One of my most anticipated games right now, and I'm not even a Star Wars fan.
Would give it a whirl if it came to ps+. Must be decent considering the devs who are making it.
Still quietly optimistic!!
I was pretty 'meh' on this title until just now. Trailer has me fairly hyped now.
@PhantomXIII With great respect, the villain being an Inquisitor is a huge deal if you've ever seen Star Wars: Rebels. These guys are Vader's right hand; elite Jedi hunter-killers who used to be members of the Order themselves. And because we've never heard of Cal Kestis before, we're likely to get a pretty epic conclusion to his story, a'la Ezra Bridger. Brace yourself for some feels.
I get your take and if you're a huge fan who knows this already, then fair enough and each to their own, but I'm excited for this game precisely because of its hero and villain.
The fact that you can also hear one note of Vader's breath embedded in the trailer gave me chills. If the Second Sister doesn't push your villainous buttons, then at least he might turn up, for a cameo if not an epic showdown.
Hey Guys, i want know if gameplay is similar to Dark Soul for this game before i pre-order it. i just want make sure
@Playstation5 The developers have stated that they've taken inspiration from Dark Souls in terms of combat mechanics, lack of environmental waypoints, and specific locations around the levels where Cal can meditate to recover health.
This is a Star Wars game, however, so it probably won't be anywhere near as challenging as a FromSoftware title.
Its other major inspiration is Metroid. You'll be able to travel to each planet in any order, and will have to return to some areas later in the game once you've unlocked certain new traversal abilities or Force powers (there's a Skill Point system that kept popping up on the HUD during the E3 gameplay demo).
@RogerRoger oh ok i see. thank. i am thinking about pre-order it because it look awesome to me
@Playstation5 You're welcome. I'm sure there'll be plenty of copies printed in the run-up to Christmas, so you could always wait to read a couple reviews if you're still unsure?
The lack of any dismemberment or any visual feedback on enemy bodies is disconcerting to me.
It is really petty of me, but because of that I can't justify a full price purchase of a Star Wars Jedi game. It just looks weird to me.
That and I'm not too big of a Star Wars fan anymore.
That being said, it looks really good.
Cool trailer! I think this will turn out pretty well.
Not been this excited for a Star Wars game in ages!
That was a good trailer that actually awoke my dormant Star Wars passion that has been missing since Rogue One.
I can't get over him using the lightsaber as a glow stick.
This one is quietly sneaking up my most wanted list but with so many games I've got to be picky as I simply wont have the time or money for them all. I suspect I'll be getting this one though
@RogerRoger yeah i guess so but i predict this game getting at least 85 on Metacritic
@Playstation5 Well, if it helps, standard pre-order bonuses include a couple variant lightsaber hilts, a yellow skin for BD-1 (the droid companion) and an orange lightsaber crystal to change the colour of your blade.
So you wouldn't be missing too much if you waited for the review scores, even if they are that high... which I really hope they will be!
@Constable_What There may not be dismemberment of human enemies, but previous trailers and gameplay reveals have shown plenty of "visual feedback" on Cal's enemies, as Stormtrooper armour is slashed and scorched.
Cal can also dismember droids and creature enemies.
Again, each to their own and I respect that it still might not be what you're looking for in a game, but this trailer was very well-edited to avoid showing too much violence because it's been released as part of the hype for Force Friday, an event showcasing toys for kids.
Feel like I've left this all over the Internet where I've seen this trailer today, so why not here, eh?
Left pretty much unmoved, uninterested and almost disdainful with the look of Fallen Order.
Can't even blame on Star Wars 'burnout' or the woeful state of the movie franchise. There is no doubt in my mind that 1313, or the Fett game that it bacame would've been quite a bit better.
The last Star Wars game I played was Lego related and I thought nothing could top that but this trailer looks awesome!
Wait... Vader actually hurt these Inquisitors pretty bad, is this game before or after that?
@RogerRoger
I didn't know he could dismember droids or creatures.
Thanks for the info!
Considering it's the next big Star Wars game being made by a renowned studio, this has gotten barely any marketing.
Cool looking Jedi
@Constable_What You're welcome!
@PhantomXIII That's kind of you to say, but I'm simply an over-excited fanboy. And just because I'm eloquent doesn't mean I'm right; this game could still turn out to be supremely average. With all the components we've seen thusfar, I hope it won't, but there's always a danger.
If you're at all on the fence, I'd highly recommend waiting for reviews, both professional and from users. I've pre-ordered because I'm geeking out but, after screw-ups like the Battlefront II launch, fifty bucks is a lot to risk nowadays.
@JoeBlogs
Lightsabers usually cut limbs off in the video games and movies. We've all seen it before.
I mean, Luke got his hand lopped off by his own father in Empire, and Darth Maul was cleaved in half in the Phantom Menace... It's unusual for lightsabers to look like a glowing bat when it comes to human enemies.
It's just weird to me, but to each their own.
@JoeBlogs
In The Force Unleashed and Jedi Knight you could cut limbs off.
There were Stormtrooper heads freaking everywhere TFU.
They were rated T.
Most Star Wars games are.
It's not really all too graphic either. It's just a limb flying off with no blood.
It's inconsistent lore wise, anyway.
I think if anything the most graphic thing to happen was in Revenge of the Sith when Anakin was mutilated by Obi-Wan and he rolled into lava. That was messed up.
It definitely looks weird no matter how you spin it though. The more I think about it... The more and more I think about how stupid it looks.
I'm totally waiting for a sale, or renting it for a couple days.
@JoeBlogs
It looked hilarious in The Force Unleashed.
It was using the Euphoria engine, which is a predecessor of Rockstar's RAGE engine, so they'd just kinda fall off and roll around.
It matched the tone of that game's gameplay because Stormtroopers were not that big of a threat, and would scream and flail, all limbs individually mind, around as you held them with the force and yeeted them into the sun.
I think it was intentional there.
I just need to get my hands on Jedi Fallen Order at this rate to try it for myself. If I can cut droids and creatures, and maybe a boss or two that'd be fine by me.
And that scene in Revenge of the Sith left me stunned as a kid. It was scary, but also pretty cool. Sad too.
That was a great movie, and I don't care what anyone says.
The other two though.... Uhh... Haha
@Vegetto I believe the timeline is post Rebels and pre Rogue One. Inquisitors were also created from the force babies the Emperor was stealing. I was excited to see Saw Gerrera in the gameplay trailer. I’m still not sure I’ll preorder, there have been some poor games I have preordered lately. But it is Star Wars! And it looks Force Unleashed-ish (which truly had an amazing story) enough for me to be seriously interested. I mean, I’m still playing SWBF2 because it’s SW haha.
