The post-launch support for Remedy's Control is starting to come thick and fast, with the developer dropping patch 1.03 just yesterday in order to improve performance across both the base PlayStation 4 and the Pro. Next up is the paid content that will bolster what there is to see and do within the Oldest House - two expansions that'll launch next year and a new game mode which launches in December.

First up, however, is Photo Mode. Given a vague date of "Fall 2019", we expect it to arrive within the months of October and November, before the Expeditions mode rounds out the year in December. It's described as an end-game addition where "Jesse must help Security Chief Arish explore the mysterious Formation and its strange surroundings." It is said to be the toughest challenge the game can throw at you, but it won't cost you a penny in real-world money.

Now, let's get to the meat and potatoes. The game's first expansion, titled The Foundation, takes Jesse underneath the Bureau to uncover what lies beneath. As the game's official blog post puts it, "expect things to get weird."

CONTROL Post Launch Roadmap FINAL

It's the second piece of DLC that has us seriously interested, however. AWE takes our red-headed protagonist to a new part of the Oldest House where Altered World Events are closely examined. Let's not beat around the bush, though, this appears to be the game's official tie-in with Alan Wake. Zoom in on the image above and you can literally see the man himself holding a torch in the background. This is one we're going to be looking out for so let's get the original game on PS4 in the meantime.
